It works great so far. Easy to setup and get started with a simple area. You can drive it around the perimeter like a rc car and then hit mow. Next will add zones to go around trees and features. Location seems to be within about 2 inches of the outlines. This thing lays down perfect stripes and the angle or pattern is customizable. Cuts really nice.

Glad to see it's working out. I wish they had these back when I had my house in MA because I had to cut it every 4 days. Between the irrigation and fertilizing it every 4 weeks it grew like a weed but it did look nice like a golf course.

Very cool! Can it be programmed to cut diagonally? I always mow that way and alter 90 degrees each time. My grass sucks but at least the pattern looks nice!! 😂

Haha, I tried doing that with mine but I had too many rolling hilly areas. When I got done it looks like Stevie Wonder cut my grass and I never tried it again!

Yes just about any angle you want. This was guided by 29 satellites using a 4g connection and will give a perfect pattern everytime. Not like the old RTK guided ones. Biggest problem was big leaves blown down by yesterday's wind were detected as obstacles so it mowed around them at first. Later I learned how to adjust obstacle detection sensitivity in the app so it ran right over them. It comes with a free 4g connection for the life of the machine for this new technology to work and also includes the RTK pole if you don't have reliable 4g. App adjusts speed, blade speed, and cut height on the fly. I got the one that cuts 2 to 4 inches. The other model cuts 0 to 2 inches I think. Dog got near it and it stops when she got too close. I cut 5000 sq ft in about 110 minutes and the battery was down 50% so each charge should cut about 1/4 acre then go back and charge about 2 Hours before resuming where it left off. It will really depend on the travel speed, overlap, and blade speed you use though.

We cut about every 4 days now also. I have mostly weeds though. Luckily dandelion season is over. Now cottonwood season is starting making it look like everything is covered in snow.

I don't miss that at all! First it was all the white pollen then the green. It would pile up against the curb then blow everywhere once a car went by. lol

I'd come out from work and my truck would be covered in that stuff. What was worse is when it rained just enough to turn it to a green paste and not fully wash it off your truck.🤬

I'm keeping an eye on these. I think my lawn is too big though. It's almost 2 acres and there is a lot of trimming with a push mower and string trimmer. A lot of slopes and angles. Takes me about 2.5 hours a shot to do it all including the zero rider.

I mow about 8 acres and this definitely won't do it all. If this can keep the top acre around the house mowed then the rest can go a couple weeks with the big tractor and flail mower. I think this should do 2 acres and that's my next attempt. Setting up 2 - 1 acre maps that can be done on alternate days. I found today that over about a 45 degree angle area caused it to map the small drainage ditch area as not doable. It did go around it in the leveler areas. So it has limitations. There's a tracked one that's better with steep slopes but tracks tear things up I find.

That's good info. I don't care what my neighbors or anybody passing by thinks of my lawn. It's barely noticeable from the road. I just want to keep it maintained.

We have some in the neighborhood and the fluff clogs the A/C condenser. I have to back flush the coils every mid-June once the flufff stops blowing around. Not so bad this year. From the lack of rain, I think they aren't fluffing as much, and with cooler temps we haven't run the A/C as much, so less is getting sucked in.

That's a good point and I think many forget to do this especially those who get their unit tunes up in the spring. Here we have a lot of dust in the air so I rinse my AC coils at least once a month from May - Oct and again after a Monsoon storm. There's a lot of dirt coming out from it after those storms and that's what chokes the units and causes them to fail prematurely. Just make sure you're using low pressure and a fan pattern (not a straight stream) on the nozzle because it's really easy to bend the fins. Ask me how I know.

That's something I don't miss about Ohio, all the damn cottonwoods. I remember going fishing and you would reel you line in through all that crap and if you weren't careful it would get all up in your reel.
I was watching the Columbus Aviators (UFL) play on TV the other and it looked like it was snowing.

Yeah the Fins definitely don’t like being bent. Neither do the Polacks for that matter. 😉
