Hi,

so this afternoon I removed Ford intrusion beams and install ready lift intrusion beams. To do so I unscrewed the front bumper one side at a time and
the beams/bars came off like they should. After that I put everything back together carefully and now I have a Blis malfunction/blis off message.
I did unplugged the battery for 30min and more and now I tried again and I still get that message. I don't understand how the front bumper as to do with anything with Blis.

Anybody have any ideas?

cheers,

Yes I did that and I plugged my laptop with forescan and reset the DTC's and I took it for a drive and blis works perfectly and no more malfunction message. Maybe it just needed to clear the error message.

So an update, well everything I did finally didn't work. I've even change the wiring harness on the two front center sensors because I was thinking that I screwed it up while moving the front bumper to change the intrusion bars. I'm really puzzled and I booked an appointment at ford for next thursday. The problem started just after I screwed the bumper back in place, wondering what other cable I could have pinched, it's giving the code u0422.

Little confused with the description of your issue. The BLIS sensors are in your tail lights and have nothing to do with the front bumper. There are parking sensors in both the front and rear bumper that detect objects when parking.
OBD code U0422 is for the body control module not communicating with the other modules.

What exactly is not working?

For some dumb reason me moving the front bumper out to remove the intrusion beams screwed up something with the bcm, so now it's giving me malfunction messages like blis malfunction and my window doesn't go down automatically anymore.

Make sure all the front sensors are connected. It's all an integrated system. It will disable everything if a sensor is not connected.

The window problem is addressed in the owner's manual. A procedure needs to be completed after disconnecting the battery for the auto up/down to work.
