I believe the earlier models didn't come with the dark Ford emblems

Yup, the black emblems started in 2021. My late 2020 has the blue emblems.

wierd, on a side note, my 2021 XL 4x4 STX came with the Black Ovals

Mine has the dark ovals too. I think they look good on the truck.

I do as well, but I was surprised my Truck had them, since it does not have the Black Appearance Package, and all the other STX trucks I have seen have the "Blue Ovals"

Is the lettering and logos on the vents blacked out as well?

Oops, I just noticed this question--sorry about that! No, they leave the lettering and logos on the vents alone. I wanted those blacked out as well, and so I replaced my vents with plain black ones. Some members just paint them over to get the same result....

The vents on mine are all black. but the lettering is gloss.

The BAP makes the side vent lettering black as well.

My mom just picked up her new BAP '21 Ranger XLT FX4 yesterday! She has now joined the Ranger club too! I'll be catching up with her later today, so I'll grab some more pics later, but a clean looking truck for sure!
