I switch to the Eibachs and they came yesterday. I had a local guy install. They do not dissapoint. Why in the world doesn't Ford change this?
I bought the Eibachs for the rear... small local garage charged me $25 for the install.

Eibachs (and Bilsteins) have a lifetime warranty.

You should be able to easily get a replacement.

Actually, I think that Eibachs is a 1 million mile warranty, so not quite "Lifetime".

Either way you should be covered.
I don't replace crap with the same and bilsteins are made in Ohio. turns out that I like bilsteins ride slightly more so win all around

First complaint I have ever seen on Eibach's. Probably not see many people call them crap. They have a world-wide following, although my Eibachs were made in California. Maybe they were installed improperly?

I have a picture somewhere of them. the strut that failed was rusted to crap even for 1 Cleveland winter and the other was still shinny and new looking AND working. IIRC they are made in china for Eibach that is based in California. that was my first experience with them and I went back to what has never failed me

edit: they are still on scrap pile and they have made in USA on them

Yeah, was gonna say pretty sure there was a sticker on them. That failure is just totally weird. I just can't imagine how that happened. Maybe somebody sprayed brake cleaner or something that damaged the metal or a seal. Or that particular shock body got through QC when it should have failed due to inferior metal quality.

Hmmm, I had Blistines on my RV, blew out in less than 1000 miles, replaced then with Koni's and 30K miles later still happy. Everyone makes mistakes, no sense crapping on a company for one bad experience.

I plan to run them. Since I can't find a good way to bring the butt down a bit.. ill just bring the front up an inch and a halfish to reduce some of the rake and get better ride quality at the same time (vs bringing the nose up more with a leveling kit)

Glad to know I'm not by myself with this issue. Ordered Bilstein 4600s front and rear from SD Truck Springs on 11/4 - Received one set almost immediately. Was told the other set are still on national backorder.

Progeny2021... curious as to you choosing the 4600s vs the more "fashionable" 5100s.
I ask as I had the FX4s and switched to the 5100s and love them. They are smoother than the FX4s but not at all harsh.
Based on this article https://www.shocksurplus.com/pages/bilstein-4600-vs-5100-series-the-lowdown I see the 4600s are a little softer... potentially smoother ride.

Price, and I'm not 'leveling' my Ranger. I paid $381 and change, including tax and shipping, for 4600s all the way around. Now, if the balance will show up.

Had the 5100's installed today. Front set at 1.2". $300 to install. Ordered 1st week in August 2021 and received completed shipment last week. Without a doubt the best thing I got for this truck. Saddened to wait this long, but well worth it. Now I don't have to feel like I'm wobbling around in a Weeble!

Update: Still no rear shocks despite being assured by SD Truck Springs well over a month ago that back orders were being filled and I would be receiving shipping instructions any day now. Unfortunately, anytime I now contact SD Truck Springs, I'm ignored or I end up hanging up on someone in India/Bangladesh who is completely unintelligible.

Today, I contacted Bilstein USA and received a prompt response. The 4600 rear shocks for my application have been on backorder since last summer with production not scheduled until July, 2022.

I didn't ask if North America lost a shipment of Bilstein shocks when the auto carrier ship went down in the Atlantic Ocean in recent weeks.....

Saw reviews on Sd Truck , many bad about large delays and no help from them . Did you try Summit Racing for the 4600s ? Got mine there in a couple of days after the order was made .

Thanks for the tip! Bought the two rear shocks (correct part number) and are supposed to ship today. Webpage stated that over 16 were in stock. Was hoping to have the new front and rear Bilsteins installed before I drove Ranger to Florida back in December - better late than never. Will request a refund from SD once these are in my hands. Want to make sure the front shocks already received aren't damaged and everything is there. Image below.
