I installed the BillieBars about a month ago to support a rooftop tent on my 2012 Raptor. I was very close to getting the VooDoo bars, they looked almost exactly the same, but upon further investigation, the BillieBars had some better features. BillieBars were about 30% more expensive, though. As the guy in the video says on the first page, the VooDoo bars are (were?) made of steel for the crossbars, and the uprights were slightly thinner than the BillieBars uprights. Plus, when I first researched all of this, the VooDoo bars did not seem to have a supporting "cup" welded onto the backside of the uprights as the BillieBars do.

I was at the grocery store today and saw a pickup across the parking lot with a rooftop tent and what looked like BillieBars underneath from a distance. I diverted over there to check it out. I just got back from an overland camping trip just last night and from a distance, this guys truck and tent setup looked EXACTLY like mine. As I got closer, it still looked exactly. I said to my wife, that guy has BillieBars just like on my truck. We parked next to it and I STILL thought he had the BillieBars, only the 5-inch version whereas I have the 8-inch. Upon closer inspection, my wife says they were VooDoo bars. It took me a minute to recognize the VooDoo name laser cut (?) into the uprights. Upon initial glance, the name just appears as mounting holes, but if you look closer, you can tell it's their name/logo.

Upon further examination, the uprights and crossbars looked EXACTLY like BillieBars. I don't know if VooDoo has changed their design specs recently and copied BillieBars or what. This was today, October 29, 2023. I suppose it's possible that this truck owner used the aluminum t-track extruded crossbars rather than the ones that VooDoo used to use, but I don't think so, I think they may have upgraded their deign.

Anywho, here's some photos of my BillieBars and tent.
