Swapped out the OEM 255/65/17 Bridgestones for 265/70/17 Pathfinder HT's (Kumho's). The front end wandering went away and the truck feels so much more stable. Can't wait to tow our camper which was very uncomfortable with the OEM tires.

I'm right behind you, swapped my 255/65r17s for Good Year Wranglers AT 265/70r17s Drove a dirt road on the week-end hit some good size bumps, no rubbing and clearance looks good all around, Mucho Better. Still need a bigger spare & looks like a 265/75r16 on my original 16" spare steel wheel is exactly the same diameter as 265/70r17 and same Revs/mile

OK, you guys have convinced me...Discount Tire tomorrow to order....
Toss up between Yokohama Geolander G 015, and the Kumho Pathfinder HT. Both "E" rated for heavy duty loads. Only a 15 buck difference between them. One a highway tread and one a bit more aggressive tread....

My wheels are Ford 17"X8" Magnetic Wheels and they work, no rubbing with 265/70r17

I just ordered a set of Yokohama's in the LT265/70/17...in tomorrow and mounting on Thurs.
When I get them mounted on my 2 wheel drive I'll take some pics in positions of turning to show clearance from front crash bar and rear splash/mud guard.

Had the Yokohama's mounted today, LT265/70/17.
Went up from the 255/65/17 on my 2 wheel drive.
Had installed one inch spacers several months ago and was fine with the stock size.
When new tires mounted, front rubbed both front crash bar and rear mud guard. Rubbed enough that it would have been a problem.
Before going crazy, I had them remove the front spacers, and, knock wood, front's fit and turn with no problem....about an inch clearance turning left and right.
I guess the spacers offset it enough to cause a problem.

Nice, Plenty of clearance with stock wheels and no spacers. For a spare I used 265/75r16 it’s exactly same diameter Revs/Mile as 265/70r17 mounted on my original 16”steel spare wheel.
