yeah auto compound didn't work but my boot up the people at the dealership ass finally got them to agree to work on it. Took me 30 mins (31mins longer than it should have) to get the sales guy to admit that it was a big problem and get his manger and auto body guy to look at. Body guy made it a bit better and if he had done it before I got there I may never have noticed it before I drove it off the lot. But I still see issues with it and made them keep it and work on it some more until I am satisfied or willing to just say F it and walk away.

I they would spring for a good painless dent guy he could make that disappear completely in about an hour. You would not be able to tell it ever happened no matter what angle you looked at it from. Some of those guys are flat out magicians.

If the guy is worth a damn at all it will look perfect, that is NOT a tough spot to get perfection out of.

Look at the holes in the rocker panel they forgot to plug and look at the dents near the center and front holes. I think its from the fixture that lifts the cab on the assembly line. You can't see them unless laying on road looking up.

well hopefully I won't be able to tell it where it was when they get it back.
What gets me is that this passed QC at the plant and was missed when the dealership took possession and they where suppose to do their PDI. It was not something I had to search for. Look down to make sure the doors lined up and there it was

well all has been corrected to my satisfaction and I am the proud owner of a velocity blue ford ranger 2021 4x2, 302 pkg, sport appearance, fx2 pkg. I also have 2 mods. blacked out side markers and putco grille insert(which I think is actually a need not a want). I'll see if I can do a write of my whole experience.

Ford moved Lariat deliveries out another month this morning. My estimated dealer delivery date for the past week was 10/31, today it's 11/30. I called Ford; they have no idea when Lariats will ship due to chip shortages.

well now you are getting a year old model without the "benefit" of getting year end deals

Maybe Ford should stop building Lariat packaged trucks until they can complete and deliver them that way they avoid disappointed customers which is not a good business model.
