But the Ranger isn't a Semi Truck and has nothing to do with Rocket Science LOL
Lmao don't get me started about going from tenths of thousandths of an inch or microns, and positions of .001", to checking stuff with a tape measure. I've only been at Peterbilt for less than 2 months but it has definitely sparked my interest in keeping my ranger project alive because I had a moment of weakness and was going to sell it to pay for the framing of my new house lol. I'm just doing the Raytheon gig on the side till I get laid off next month. But yea I live for this stuff, and I have the support at home who think my truck is badass. Plus I bought a little Kia.

I work with Aerospace MEs; HR wins the gear head knowledge vs that group. Company wide some dudes in the machine shop area have us all beat.

Hope you get the weird codes sorted out.

It's always so confusing when different companies say ME's. Especially as a Mechanical Engineer who spent 5 years as a machinist and is a manufacturing engineer I always ask, "is ME a mechanical or manufacturing engineer?" Lol. My role at Peterbilt is pretty cool and seeing chassis and fixing problems every day makes it easier to do it to my Ranger.

We actually have two buildings and they stay separated, manufacturing and mechanical. Except for the mechanical engineers who are working as manufacturing engineers and not specifically in a mechanical role. They are in the ME building. Our manufacturing types are a bit of a mix of degree types. Then throw in the quality guys who are a mix of degreed engineers, some who are also mechanical there as well. They are in a separate building.

So as the actual reply to that;

Yep on the "ME" thing.
