I like to think EV adoption will be like the smartphone. My dad never had any interest in one and now he loves being able to surf the internet and watch videos from the couch. If they can make EV convenient and interesting the market will adopt it.
I also am aware they are looking at wireless charging where parking spaces will charge your vehicle w/o a plug. That sounds REALLY cool.
Last side bar, Sheetz gas station told me once in a meeting they sell food for a reason. When EV becomes mandated, they will be the first place that will offer you a place to sit and eat for 10-15 minutes while your vehicle charges up...
