Auto Start no longer functioning.

My Auto Stop/Start was hit and miss for a while - I read all the reasons for this to happen in the owner’s manual and figured it must be one or more of the simple things listed there.

It was about a year old at the time so how could it be the battery, right?

Then this happened…

Turns out it had a bad battery - replaced under warranty - haven’t had an issue since. I recommend that anyone having this issue get their battery load tested.

I had my battery tested. Ford said it tested fine. I complained and they replaced it anyway. I haven't had an issue since then. I watch the ASS monitor in the fuel economy menu. You don't need foreskin to access the menu.

The broad brush strokes are good enough for government work. I'm not necessarily looking for the granular detail of foreskin. I just want to know if it's temperature, etc. or charging that's keeping the ASS from working.

Yes, forscan will tell you exactly why it isn’t working. Use the PIDs from my screenshot in the main post. Forscan is a great tool.

It's great for a multitude of things on our vehicle. It's just non necessary for the broad brush strokes of why the ASS isn't working. The fuel economy menu will tell you if it's due to charging. I don't need to hook up a computer or a phone. I can do it in real time at a stoplight when the ASS hasn't activated. You like forscan, great. I just don't need for this question.

Hey brother, if you go back and read the original post - you’d know that my fuel economy slide on my dash showed normal operation despite AS/S not functioning. Which means that the dash function was unable to give me a reason in this state.

Whereas Forscan gave an actual reason.
But you have a great 4th as well, God bless.
