I'm getting tired of the stock sound system in my 2020 XL (STX) Ranger with the base 6 speaker package. I did the 4d tech 4-8 inch sync system upgrade about 6 months ago and now I'm looking for some good speakers for my truck that don't require me to have to cut any panels or drill into anything. Everything I've looked into on Crutchfield has mentioned something about cutting into the door panel, which I prefer to avoid. Im looking for something plug-n-play that sounds better than the weak stocks. Ive came across the kicker plug-n-play kit but the reviews on it aren't good enough to make me want to buy something like that.

The only other possibility i've came across was this Alpine set but its made for Aussie Rangers, not sure if it would work on Americans too?

Powerbass makes speakers that connect right up with no mods needed. On the higher end, I think the Focal speakers will too.

All I can tell you is what to definitely NOT buy. I purchased the Memphis Audio SRX60C component front door speakers from crutchfield as recommended by the crutchfield advisor. I was looking at infinity originally. I put them in my Ranger. They were so inferior to the stock speakers that I took the effort to uninstall them, put the original speakers back in, and return them.

Polk audio is a marine grade speaker and will not get damaged by water. Had to trim on inside of door 1/2 inch off tthe speaker ring on panel, will not see it being on inside, did it with a drywall knife, easy peasy... kicker amp plug and play placed behind the screen, rock and roll, great sound and volume, Crutchfield is the way to go..

I put in the Rockford Fosgate Power series 1675s components in the front and 1675 2 ways in the rear of my super crew with only a slight trim of the inner door trim. Of course, I then added multiple amps, sub, etc. But just the speakers sounded great, just needs more power!

I put a pair of Hertz components in the front doors. I think they sound ok for not having an amp running them. You can turn them up more without distorting than the factory ones an they were pretty cheap. I like Hertz an infinity for affordable options (under $200). I'd like to try some focal speakers but they're more money an I think need more power to shine.

Isn't there also a way with forescan to change the audio after installing new speakers?

I know this is an old post but if you are wondering ..... Focal's sound great without the need to add an amp. It's all about the sensitivity rating that make good use of the power. I upgaded my wife's speakers in her new trailblazer with nothing but replacing the crap stock ones to Focal's and they sound amazing. they will take more power but still get pretty loud with the stock radio. AND they are crystal clear !! I want them for my Ranger but I already upgraded the speaker in the Ranger to a mid level speaker. May I love the Focals. Focal ICU 165 for the back and
Focal ISU 165 for the front

I'm looking at upgrading the speakers in my bronco. I will look into Focal. Sensitivity is the main spec I look at for speakers now. The Infinity, Polk an JBL seem to have low 90's ratings for about half of what Hertz an Focal cost. The bronco has a thin mounting area for the front 6.5's so I might be limited in choices. I run a Arc audio KS125 in my Harley an it sounds pretty solid pushing the Hertz speakers with a Sony Head unit. If they give in to the pounding an weather I may try focals in it. For some reason the bronco forum love the kicker speakers. They're only like 88 on sensitivity. The kicker key amp looks like a decent unit for the cost an there's a no splice wiring harness available. I'm not a big kicker fan but at least I know the amp fits and works with the factory system. I doubt adding the amp at this point but who knows.
