When I came to a stop and shutoff the ignition, I forgot to put into Park and the truck alerted me with the normal beeping which startled me. I quickly reached over to put the truck into park and my hand inadvertently hit the volume control swiping it to level 30 for about 3 seconds until I was able to reduce the volume. I have the occupancy mode set to driver so it was mainly the front speakers. It doesn’t appear to have damaged anything as far as I can tell (except my ears), but I am a bit concerned. In any case, it made me wonder how durable the factory speakers are.
Is it possible to blow a speaker and could less than 5 seconds on level 30 do that?
My paperwork says I have 6 Speakers and SYNC 3. I see 2 speakers on both the driver and passenger doors and 1 in both the rear doors. This would make 6 speakers, but it also sounds like there is 1 speaker in the middle of the dashboard. Wouldn’t that be 7 speakers? Is there a speaker in the dashboard?
