Hey , does anyone on here know the weights of the two arb bumpers available for the Ford Ranger ?

The Ford Performance Arb bumper and the Arb Summit Bull bar bumper ? I have been having a hard time figuring out what the weight of the ford performance arb bumper is. I have figured out that the shipping weight of the arb summit bumper is 233Lbs , minus the weight of the packaging and pallet it comes on, I’ve estimated the actual bumper weighs 185Lbs. I have also figured out the shipping weight of the ford performance arb bumper is 170lbs. What I do not know is if the bumper comes on a pallet and that pallet is calculated with the shipping weight or not .

Just trying to figure out how much of a difference the summit bumper is compared to the ford performance .
Thanks in advance .

I think you're in the ballpark with those numbers. Get the Summit, it's a much nicer product that provides significantly improved protection.

Fun fact: the Summit is the only aftermarket bumper that actually undergoes physical crash tests. These verify that it not only protects against animal strikes and off-road bumps, but is actually capable of reducing the forces transmitted to your vehicle in a big crash.

I've hit a big kangaroo with one at ~85mph without any damage. Now I won't run a vehicle with anything else.

oh awesome ! Thanks for the info. I’m leaning more toward the summit. I got some thinking to do.

I don’t know the weight but when I picked up my Ford Performance ARB bumper at Summit Racing it was on a pallet that was the same size as the box.
Also, I would say that the quality is excellent so don’t think it isn’t the same quality as the Summit.

The Ford Performance Bumber is definitely lighter by a hood bit. The Summit Bumper will still provide best protection. Of you are going to spend the money on a bumper, you might as well go all in on a good know manufacturer.

The Summit is a great bumper. Very heavy but worth it. I would consider upgrading your coils. I went to 650lbs to hold up the bumper and winch.
