I’m designing a custom enclosure for a small 8” sub behind the rear seat. The passenger side cabin vent extends into the cabin about 0.5 inch. Removing it will net me 0.12 cu ft in the box which is a lot considering how limited the space is back there.
Has anyone tried this? What did you use to seal the opening? Will the driver side cabin vent be enough to balance pressure differences in the cabin?
I could leave the vent in and make the box less deep, but I worry about the box pushing the vent out the back of the cabin. It’s only held in by very small clips. Anyone have experience with this?
