Using 3/4” MDF, this prototype box is sitting around 0.5 cu ft. It fits snugly behind the seat with the plastic vent still in place. Problem is I don’t think there’s enough room on the face for the sub and trim ring.

I’m designing a custom enclosure for a small 8” sub behind the rear seat. The passenger side cabin vent extends into the cabin about 0.5 inch. Removing it will net me 0.12 cu ft in the box which is a lot considering how limited the space is back there. Has anyone tried this? What did you use...
