Hello
I am doing a 5 ch setup to my ranger, but what would be the biggest sub enclosure to fit behind the seat with removing the carpet. Has anyone done this?

I tried to fit a JL Audio 10” wedge and just wouldn’t fit. Had to go with the 8” and cut the carpet behind. Still sounds amazing with the JL Audio amp and Audio Control LC2i. The rack still needs to be carpeted and wires cleaned up.

nice, how deep is the box? I ordered one that is 5.50 deep x 19in long and 13in high. You think that would work? Was the 10 just to tall?

Width 18.625" Height 11" Depth 5.125"
I think you'll have an issue with that size box in all directions. There is a bar inside the back seat toward the middle that just clears. If the box hits that bar it will affect latching the seat. Height is a big issue too since the clearance depth is a big factor in the seat latching too. I spent two weeks trying to figure it out, made numerous changes to building my own custom box to fit a 10" sub and it was a complete PITA. Cut enough of the carpet to fit the JL 8" sub/factory enclosure and called it a day. Could've saved so much time if I had just gone with my initial thoughts of just buying the 8".

Did you have to remove the jack stand mount/holder out from under the box or is it sitting on top of that?

Yes, I removed the jack. It's stored in a pivot storage box in the bed. Not sure it would even work if I needed it, since I have 33's and a little bit of a front end lift.
