I have a 2021 currently running 265/70/r17 with Bilstein 5100, 2 1/2" lift. What is next larger size I can go with without worrying about rubbing? Thanks in advance!

285/70/17 but you might need to remove your crash bars.

Without modifying anything else, you're at the limit now. Depending on wheel offset, you might be able to go to a 275/70/17 which i'm currently running but because i wanted to run a 30mm spacer I had to address the crash bars.

Kind of a loaded question as exact size varies between manufacturers even if they are listed as the same size. Rim width, offset, backspacing, ect all play into it. Check your clearances at full compression and full lock. Gives you an idea. Leave 1/2 for bushing deflection.

Depends if you want to remove or replace crash bars with high clearance ones. I had the same tire size and recently upgraded to 33s. Had to pull out the crash bars.

My wife’s Ranger has a 2.5” leveling kit and I was BARELY able to fit 32s. She never drives offroad so I don’t really worry about rubbing. They’re so close that if she hit ruts or bumps at full steering lock, they’d probably rub a bit. I’ll be swapping the crash bars on her truck with high clearance ones soon, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

It’s worth noting that when I upsized her tires to 32s, I also went with 255 instead of 265. Slightly skinnier. If I stayed with 265 it wouldn’t have worked. Also depends if you’re running stock wheels or plan on getting offset wheels.

265/70/17 are gonna be as big as you can without any mods.....I have these today and get a slice rub with the front when the wheels fully committed.

I actually have the same rubbing issue as you when fully committed. I have the fx2 no mods but I do have wheel spacers. I read a to ton of posts here that the said tire size had no rubbing issues but I guess that's not the case

You can go up to a 255/80r17 (33"). Other popular tire sizes rub because they're too wide, but you can add quite a bit in diameter if you keep the width down.

LT275/70R17. 32.2" .. Two inch level with Eibach 2.0 struts. One inch Mishimoto hub centric spacers on stock XLT wheels. Slight rub in reverse with the left front when hard left on the front crashbar plastic cover. I could just remove the covers and loosen and push the bars forward a bit, but have BDS intrusion bars to mount as soon as weather cooperates.
