Because apparently the truck is made out of this:

That must be on higher trim levels. Since acorns dent mine, it must be some reject tin foil ...

6G beds are a totally different design than 5G. I haven't heard of the beds cracking on the 5G. Since everyone says, 'give credit to the Aussies for a great 6G design', we can blame this design defect on them. It's still Ford's fault anyway.
Keep that up and I'll make sure that next years update has an even higher rear end rake!

I must admit I'm pretty sad about this, generally we design things to be pretty tough over here, because we know once out of the cities, the roads are rough, the temperature ranges can be extreme, and people tow big caravans and boats, and add canopies, bull bars, rock sliders, etc, fill their utes up with lots of camping stuff. And a ute tub isn't exactly rocket science, or new technology.
Probably the result of Ford wanting to use lighter / thinner section material, or a different / cheaper, grade of steel, than the original design was for.

Are we allowed to put groceries in the bed of the Ranger Raptor ??? Or does that violate warranty ??
I can only assume most only use their truck to go to Walfart?
Did yous guys buy a different truck than I did?
I still recommend the Ford Spray in protection for you too.
some of us actually abuse ours LOL well abuse dont really cover it, almost 30K miles on this last oil change, I do change the filter every 15k what do you think I am stupid Bahahaha dont answer that!
It has held up for me over a year while I push it and try and find its limits.
dont worry I will find them and report :)
up to yesterday I didnt know what to rate it at 1/2 ton? then a few months ago I had short steel in the bed and didnt know it was 1200 lbs till I got to the yard, Well yesterday I picked up 14 Teleco 145ah batteries that are 110 lbs each 1500 lbs (3/4 ton) for a 300 mile road trip, doing 70 mph, I didnt know they were in the bed! No Flex, No Squat, No Body Rolling, no loss of get up and go and got 17.8 mpg doing it!
as we were putting them in the guys were laughing, aint gonna happen because they had to make two trips with a Toyota taco load them up boys its a FFR ( I had to laugh, was that rude? )
I banded 12 and 2 up against the tailgate so most of that weight was as center as space would allow
does anyone really know what the limits are LOL
I do have a cheap ass aftermarket Rough Country lift Suspension so I am testing its limits too so laugh if you want But what have you put in your Bed?
