I’ve mapped out the possible location area of the engine cover if you want to go look for it ?

I always taught my son, step daughter and wife to never crash a vehicle over an animal. Swerve, yes, endanger yourself of vehicle, no.
Looking at video, seemed like she was more than 100 feet off road. Glad she was OK...

I once hit a full grown bull with an M816 wrecker. The vise on the front bumper made a hole in him and I've never seen so much blood. I didn't even think about swerving but then again I was more or less driving a tank. Gotta love open range laws!

Hit the deer! There's only one of you and a million of them...
Damn right!
If you're going too fast to stop, then you're going too fast to swerve. HIT THE ANIMAL. Otherwise take your chances going off road where the trees like to jump in front of you, or the ground drops out from under you. Or worse, you hit another car...

You will not find an engine cover. Look at the rims. I'm guessing it's an early 2000s Ranger.

Here's a 2002 for comparison.

when i took drivers education one of the instructors was a salty old fart, korea navy vet. he showed us videos of blood on the pavement type that were from folks trying not to hit animals. I told us never to swerve or risk a crash to avoid an animal unless its bigger than your car. so if your in a vw bug hitting a dog is fine but not an elephant lol.
