This is for you if your looking at doing an LED light housing swap and considering the Luxx, Alpharex mid series lights. You will find plenty of info and vids/ reviews on the Pro and Nova.

After searching for a while online and youtube i couldn't find what i was looking for. An LED upgrade from the OEM halogen housings, that will work well on road and off.

I decided to go with the ALPHAREX Luxx for my 21 Ranger XLT. I looked at all the competitors and felt the Alpharex would handle well off-road and give better light.

The Alpharex Nova are a little rich for me, and the Lariat swap i was thinking about was still born after seeing the cost of the OEM housing. The Pro’s, I wasn't sure the bulb clips would hold up to heavy corrugation, or sudden shock from a heavy drop with heavy LED bulbs.

the fight to get the light housings out was by far the the longest install I’ve had to do and I’ve changed several housings in my vehicles.

I am happy with the light output from the Luxx on the street. Hands down better then OEM Halogen, they look fantastic on the truck. Looking forward the see how they perform off road and before adding off road lights.

These look stunning. Nice work. My headlight swap was the biggest PIA project I’ve done to date. Hated every minute of it. Until I was done, of course. Lol

I plan to buy a pair of these before end of April but I'm definitely going to see about getting them installed. It's worth it to me to pay the extra to have a professional do it. I just know that if I attempt it, it'll take several days, I'd lose some parts (or have some left over) and probably break a few things.

Nice, Looks great!

I have been eyeing these for a while, but other ideas got in the way. I have an XLT, so I just upgraded bulbs.

Did you connect the little DRL module that comes with them? I seem to remember that you could set it aside and leave it not connected. I don't feel like tapping into the headlight harness which is why I likely veered away. I just don't remember the result or reasoning if you did leave it disconnected. Does that leave the DRL's on the Alpha LUXX's off then?

Thanks,
Jason

Looks great! I actually found the nova series on eBay, new for $600. Took me about an hr to install personally. My only issue was the drl directions they provide are inaccurate. Instagram @ RangerCRF

i did at first leave theDLR harness disconnected. The led strip around the light was on but dim. When i finally got to adding the DLR harness it was easy enough to connect the DLR wire to the harness and run the fuse tap. I wired the SS3 backlight to the DDLR harness. The suggesged fuse tap was wrong for my 21 XLT Tremor. I ended up using the electronic steering control fuse (10A)
