It's been awhile since I posted last; took the Danger Ranger in to the dealer this morning for regular maintenance, was impressed with how good everything is still looking after almost 50K miles. I do mostly highway miles so no telling how long the brakes will last. My Ranger will turn 4 in June, so I went ahead and had them do a brake fluid exchange (not the fluid I want to fail :p).

When I got home I went ahead and replaced the Engine and Cabin Air Filters because who wants to pay $100+ in labor for a 10 minute task. She should be good for many more miles! I always forget just how good the air smells on full blast with a brand new filter.

I am really hoping the new Ranger Raptor is not too exciting...Since Joe has not got around to forgiving my student loans yet...(Joking of course:wink:)

Maintenance is key with most vehicles. As for the brakes I'm not to surprised about the life. I still had a out 8MM in the rear around 35K if I remember correctly
Agreed. Taking auto tech class in High school taught me that.

I am always a twice a year kind of maintenance guy regardless of miles (I am usually going 5500-6500 per change)

Wait, you swap pads out every 5 or 6k?

(nevermind, I can't read)

Since my transmission has been acting up since day one, I am thinking of getting that fluid changed when I hit 40K. What are your guys thoughts on when this should be changed?

If I ever get rid of this truck, it will be because of the transmission. I freaking hate it. Everything else has been great. When coming to a stop and you have to check your rearview mirror because you don't know if someone just rear-ended you or if it was just your transmission.... Yeah that's annoying AF.

Steve, I can't remember but is yours tuned? If not try that because I've yet to see anyone here who's tunes complain about theirs being so bad. I'm tuning my new one as soon as I get it back home next week. My 2019 was tuned after the first year and always ran good. Hopefully that'll help.

I’ve thought about doing the Tranny fluid the next service ~53-55k.

Glad I am not the only one. Sometimes I’ll feel a stout shift and be like easy ranger you don’t have to downshift so hard. (I drive like a Grandpaw so maybe that’s why)

Hey brother. No not yet. Two things holding me back was the price of the Ford Tune and having to run 91 all the time, but it might be time to get it tuned. What tune do you recommend?

What's weird about my truck is that some days its great, no shifting issues. Then on the very next drive it starts it's BS again.

Hey buddy! Hope you've been well I haven't seen you on in a while.

I was running the Livernois tune for the past 3 years. But now I'm going to try the Unleashed tune in my new Tremor. Everyone seems to really like this one and there's been a few who have ran both and said they prefer the Unleashed one.

Hey man, yeah been pretty busy these last few months.

I wonder how the unleased compares to the Ford tune... Man $750 for that tune hurts though!
