Hit on the driver's side by a Ford Explorer going 55-60.

Irreplaceable suspension damage. Per the Ford dealership, the suspension was so damaged that they'd have to weld a new shock mount to the frame. Per Ford they aren't allowed to weld to the frame, so a frame replacement would be necessary. I was given the option to total it or fix it with a used frame and wait 3 more months for it to be fixed or just total it out.

Smartest decision was to total it. They gave me hella money for it.

That's just a random number carpart threw up there. Damage estimate was originally $12k before the frame swap, then the frame swap added another $15k. So $27k, they gave me almost $38k for my payout. I paid $36,900 out the door, tax, title, extended warranty, and then drove it for 3 years and 32k miles. Super happy with the payout.
