I suspect that Ford doesnt want you to add more connectors to their existing connections because they cant control the condition of the new connectors. So, if you connect your new thing to a different point on the chassis everyone will be happy.:fingerscrossed:

So I guess out of all 3 spots on the - , where should I attach for a winch ? From what I’m reading , the nut to the right of th post ?
Or the one that is connected to the chassis ? It shouldn’t be this hard

I think you said in a different post that you went straight to the negative post with your 12 volt plug for your braking system is this the way to pass the BMS. Did you hook up the RVI towed battery charge on the negative post also or now do you use a complete different ground point from the chassis ground . I am a little lost after reading this post all the way through.

Thanks
Tony
Hi don't have an RVI brake controller. I have an Add A Brake so I ran a powerpoint off hte battery through the Dash Panel (we do not call them firewalls as we do not use the word fire) and under the drivers front seat.

Ok I believe I figured this out, for ALL questions. The negative post for winches or jump start is this terminal where my thumb is at , or pinky , either will be fine. Attaching before this box at the main WILL send a spike to your your truck .

Who has been successfully running their winch and/or air compressor negative ground to the location indicated by the little finger above?

I've looked around and haven't found any documentation that limits this circuit grounding definition. The manual specifically shows jump start chassis grounding so short term amperage doesn't seem to be a problem.
