I attempted to change out my third brake light. Unsuccessful. The cord wont pull out enough slack to clip it in. Some forums and youtube videos suggest you have to drop the headliner! Any tips or advice? Thanks

I have not done this, but from the diagram it appears that you have 2 -clips holding up the liner at the window.
Now you may have to pull the side pillar trim off to get the liner down far enough to get access to the connector, do this as a precaution as to not crease or bend the liner when you try pulling down on it as I do not know how much flex the liner will allow.

You do not need to drop the whole liner, just get the rear lowered enough to get your hands on the connector.

This step - APPEARS not to be required if you have OEM Led Light Assembly

This is what you need to get access to:
If the OEM = (non-LED Bulbs)

If OEM = LED Bulbs, it appears that all you have to do is remove the light assy to get to the connector, thus the liner does not require to be lowered.

I was able with the help of a friend pulled the liner down enough to reach it and clip it in! Thanks for the diagrams!

On my 2020, I just snipped the wires coming out of the cab and spliced the 3 wires together with electrical tape.

You don't need to pull the whole headliner. You can just bend it back enough to pop the clip holding the wire to the inside of the cab. Then you can pull the wire down to access and plug it in or disconnect. Then just shove the wires back up later behind the headliner. Easy access after that.
