2020 Ford Ranger XLT Fan Clutch Sensor Wire Problem - I am really having a bad time.

Hello I am having a issue with my Fan Clutch Sensor it was damaged like the ones in the forum posts below.

My 2020 Ford Ranger XLT has about 75,500 on it I was driving then the truck went into limp mode on me had it towed back to my apartment I have ran Forscan on the tuck and got the codes attached the original is the fist DTC scan and the others I have ran after.

The following things that have done are we taped up the cable mine was not ripped apart just had copper showing. Checked the F12 Fuse visually and with a multi-meter it is NOT broken I even swapped it with the 13 and 14 fuse that is a spare and I am still getting the errors I have tried clearing the codes, unplugging the battery and plugging it back in. We checked the voltage that runs from the wiring harness to the Clutch sensor that tested at 12V from the Lego style connector. I am unsure what to do next can anyone please assist my other option is to spend thousands of dollars at a dealership.

Here is the schematic for the fan controls. I would check for a short to ground on the vref and sigrtn to start, with the fan connector unplugged. Check on both sides of the connector. If no short to ground is found, check the other wires for a short to ground.

The root code out of all of them is: P06A8 - Sensor Ref Voltage, this is VREF circuit specific, so that spot where you say you see bare wire is the possible spot, I would open the harness up to expose the wires up the harness approximately 12 to 18 inches from the connector.

They make a replacement pigtail, but you will have to splice it in with environmental splices

Pin 1 = Pwr 12-Volts
Pin 2 = Fan Speed Control
Pin 3 = VREF
Pin 4 = VREF Signal Rtn
Pin 5 = Fan Speed Sense to the PCM

Your issue most likely lies on PIN #3 - The VREF circuit (Note this is a 5-Volt Circuit)

Key On - Engine Off - Check for 5-Volts (4.5 is normal) between Pins 3 & 4
with the leads hooked up - shake the harness and see if voltage reading fluctuates.
