What did it take to do the 8.8 swap? I'm currently working on getting one swapped into mine at the moment and I'm trying to see what I'm getting into.99% done. Should be seeing the dirt by middle of next week.![]()

Driveshaft, shock mounts, leaf mounts, e brake, wheel speed sensors are all needing some adjusting. You need to buy new rotors, calipers, and some adaptors if youāre not swapping axles. What did it take to do the 8.8 swap? Ok, thought I had the sensors figured out but I guess not. Have the rear-end in and everything is driving but have the abs lights on traction control, etc. Did you stick with the factory sensors from the ranger rear end or did you use the corresponding f150 sensors?Driveshaft, shock mounts, leaf mounts, e brake, wheel speed sensors are all needing some adjusting. Iāve been at it for a year and a half trying to get the f150 sensors to work in the ranger. Itās sucks, as Iām without abs, traction control, or cruise control. To my knowledges there is no way for the ranger module to accept the f150 sensors, since the f150 used those brake calipers that lock up.Ok, thought I had the sensors figured out but I guess not. I know it is an old thread... but your response summed it up best!O.M.F.G.
......... That is Baddd Asss!!!
FUCK YEAH nice Work! Did you find & pull the f150 rear end from a yard or is it a kit you bought? Damn man she looks good dont want to call it a fun haver just because of the wide body but I assume she knows how to have a good time. If you dont mind curious what ya have invested in the build roughly? I have a 20ā blue lariat crew⦠I was considering buying APG prorunner parts kit (i work @ ford dealer & have friends at local body shop so i was thinkin could save me bucks on labor vs down there at APG & save some more $ on shipping the truck or making the drive myself since i am in Seattle area...) just not sure if the trade off for time and know how would pay for it self vs me diy.Build is done, except secondaries! If you have any questions ask away. Notable upgrades/ most asked about: Custom mid travel kit, f-150 rear end, 37" big projects![]()
