Hi All
First time poster.
Looking for wiring diagrams or info to where the fuel pump wire / colour enter ether the fuel tank or engine bay fuel pump relay areas.
I'm looking at installing a kill switch and looking for the best location to where i can pick up the 12v feed entering the fuel tank pump.
Currently there in no information on the net at all and no wires visible around the tank area that can be taped into.
The only way at this stage to confirm what colour/wire entering the pump on the fuel tank is to lower it down to check and verify input which is not ideal.
Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

There are various ways to add a kill switch, but I would recommend a different route for the following reasons.

#1 is safety.
If you install a kill switch for Fuel Pump / Injectors or Coils - you are bringing in a potential of failure of that circuit that could shut down - while driving - Circuit Issues

I would HIGHLY recommend installing a kill switch (in the starter relay) circuit, this way if there were to be an issue (wiring or switch) - you are parked

The issue with taping into the fuel pump circuit is, that the truck (Primes) the Fuel Pump with the Wake Circuit - Door Open / Door Ajar - triggers a 2-3 Second prime on the LP Pump and you have a relay and fuel pump module in the system.
So, you have an old school relay powering the Fuel Pump Module, that is controlling the LP and HP fuel pumps via the PCM.
Although it can be done, I do not recommend tapping into that circuit as it can/may induce issues for that very important circuit.

The same feeling for tapping into any other circuit as mentioned below, as I was brainstorming for ideas for a tap point.
PCM Power Relay or Coils - those are circuits that need to be intact and adding any kind of tapped (switch) could induce a fault issue when driving and shut down the engine.

Since it is not a 100% theft proof (kill switch) no matter where you tap, if a thief finds the (switch)
it's going to start.
So, hiding the switch in spot that is easily accessible to (you) for easy starting is the hardest part, but out of sight enough for a thief that has made entry and by-passed the factory Alarm & PATs needs more (TIME) to figure out why it's not starting. Hopefully they will give up and walk away.
