I don't know how Frank does it, but he had my order packaged up and a shipping label printed within 7 minutes of me placing my order. I can't wait to hear the difference, the stock speakers leave a lot to be desired.

Did you get these and install them? Curious on the sound.

Same here.

Curious how much of an upgrade.

Also, do these retain the A-pillar tweeter?

No a-pillar tweeters, just the 4 door speakers.

I got them last night, hoping to install them this weekend.

I knew it didn't include new tweeters, just wondering if these remove the factory tweeters from the circuit or if they retain them.

I guess I don't understand. The factory tweeters are unrelated to these replacement speakers. There's no reason to remove the factory tweeter, and doing so would have an adverse affect on the height of the sound stage in the truck. These speakers just essentially add a bonus tweeter in each of the doors.

Installed them this weekend. Pretty straight forward process getting the door panels off. I do have two small concerns/issues that I didn't have time to properly remedy this weekend:

1. The front door panel/speaker grills interfere with the new speakers and the door panel doesn't sit flush, and I can't get the two clips to engage. I suspect it's just a minor clearance issue and it's not even noticeable unless you know to look for it.

2. I don't know how to wire the speakers without pinching the wires between the plastic bracket and the metal door. Long term I'm worried about vibration and may find a way to modify the plastic bracket so I can pass the wires through it instead of under it.

I took the opportunity to add some dynamat behind the speakers (will do more of the doors as time allows), and it sounds phenomenal. I had the volume up to 25 and I had no distortion or crackling what-so-ever. The only reason I turned it down was my ears were starting to hurt!

What system did you have? So your overall impression is….better sound quality?

I have just the standard Sync3 system (no B&O). Sound quality is definitely better. It could still be better yet with an improved amp for the speakers, but since I already have a subwoofer installed I don't see the need.
