265 65 r18 on factory black appearance pkg wheels. Bfg ko2s
Pick at the pass is stock sus, garbage cans background is after fox 2.0 set at 2”.
Never rubbed on either set up.
21k miles lifetime average of 18.1 mpg
2.0 fox level kit
265/65/r18 bfgs
Rooftop tent on 12” rci rack. Pokes about 5” above cab height. Mostly city driving unless we go somewhere to camp. I work less than 2 miles away from home, so many short trips.
I can relate AzScorpion! I’m on my fourth ranger and love it more than any other vehicle I’ve had. The 71 nova (a close second)was fun too, but constantly buying tires and sub 7mpg sucked.
Smittybuilt gen 2 overlander on an RCI HD universal rack. DIY pressurized water tube and some fox 2.0 fronts and an aftermarket exhaust is all I have done to her so far.
Some A pillar hood hinge lights are next. Next year I hope to get the decked storage.
I definitely try to make the most of the hyphen I have. Getting my kids interested in outdoor activities, watching them love it is one of my greatest joys.
Got my Rci bed rack today, youngest son and I installed it. Then we put our diy solar pressurized shower reservoir on it (stoked it holds pressure and squirts).
Get the roof top tent in two more long weeks.
Clown move on my part too. Upgraded my tires to bfg all terrain ko2s 265 65 r18. Now I need an 18” wheel to mount this extra tire on. Luckily I can source wheels cheaply from work.
Especially when the mayor of boquillas de Carmen and his family are making and selling tacos just across the river. Even when it’s crowded it’s hard to call it that. You’re fortunate to live so close to heaven.
“Come on man”
When you get home, unpack and unwind the drive drifts from memory. The time there lasts forever. It’s about 13 hours for me. If you drive faster……
This place and Colorado are my favorite places to take my ranger. Just did the fox 2.0 and 1” bigger all terrain ko2s
Installing an rci rack and rtt next month.
Going back to big bend April 8-12
Anyone else go? The river road, black gap and ore road are hella fun.
