  1. How To Lubricate Your Driveshaft Slip Joint

Lately, every time a new add loads onscreen, it takes the focus away from what you are typing. I have to re-click in the text typing area to be able to continue typing. It is very annoying. Hopefully, the administrators will address this issue.
  2. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

Looks good and glad that it works. The air inlet damper controls outside air entering the HVAC unit or recirculating air.
  3. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

Here is the source for VREF and SIGRTN for the above diagram of the air inlet damper feedback.
  4. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

You have apparently had this code for quite a while. See this: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/resolved-anyone-ever-seen-this.31087/page-2#post-703603
  5. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

Could be open or shorted wiring to the damper motor position sensor or a bad damper motor. B11F0:15 Air Intake Damper Position Sensor: Circuit Short To Battery Or Open Module senses a short to voltage or an open on air inlet door actuator circuits when motor movement is commanded.
  6. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

I would use shrink tubing over the soldered repairs and then regular electrical tape over the repaired area. I would wrap electrical tape over the bare wires individually. Your repairs that you outlined should be good. Can you restate the other DTC number?
  7. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

I thought that you said earlier that you had 12 volts to the cargo lamps when the puddle lamps were on, but no ground connection. Is that the case?
  8. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

The cable to the stop/cargo lamp runs across the top of the rear window towards the driver side C pillar, down the pillar and across the back of the cab (I believe under the rear seat) to the passenger side of the vehicle. It then runs towards the passenger kick panel under the right side door...
  9. I think I'm cooked

Also check Fuse F12 in the battery junction box (BJB) for being blown. It supplies power to the oil pump solenoid control and the cooling fan clutch. If the fan clutch wiring has rubbed through and shorted to ground, this fuse often blows.
  10. I think I'm cooked

Check the DTC codes and report them here. Use Forscan and adapter for reading the codes. Double-check the fan clutch wiring harness for having worn through spots and bare or broken wires.
  11. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

"I think I understand what you are saying - you are thinking there is an issue in the ground somewhere between the C3049 connector and the connector to the CHMSL, right?" Yes, it's possible. "Just thinking out loud, but couldn't I pin in a ground to the CHMSL connector to a good body ground and...
  12. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

The black wire should have a good close to zero ohm reading to ground, it should not be jumping around. Take your ohmmeter and check for near zero resistance reading between the black wire at the stop lamp assembly and the black contact in the connector C3049 connector pin 2 (at the passenger...
  13. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

What about the connector behind the passenger side kick panel? Does it measure zero ohms to ground?
  14. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

If you have an ohmmeter, you can measure at the connectors to ground (chassis). I should be close to zero ohms. That would pinpoint the place where the ground connection is lost. The ground wire is black.
  15. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

Ground splice S145 is located by the red arrow in the picture below in the passenger side engine compartment:
  16. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

The ground G123 is located in the engine compartment on passenger side front as shown by the red line in this shot: The connector in series with the ground wire is located in the passenger compartment kick panel area as pictured by the red arrow below: These areas would be a good place to look...
  17. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

A blown fuse would cause the puddle lights to also not work as they are fed from the same FET switch in the BCM. So, you have confirmed that you are not getting 12 volts to the lights and that there is a good ground to the light?
  18. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

Is the black wire at the light housing connected to ground? Test using an ohmmeter. If it is grounded (close to zero ohms) and you have no 12 volts DC at the cargo light (when turned on) or stop light (when brake pedal is pressed), then you will have to follow the wiring back to the BCM (Body...
  19. Intermittent errors with Blind Spot Monitor

Here is the wiring diagram for both sets of lights. You will have to see if voltage (12 volts) is reaching the lamp assembly for the stop and cargo LEDs. Also check the ground connection.
