Because I have no information about the drivability, reliability or tuneability of them. They are expensive I don’t see much information about them for our trucks.
Who actually has upgraded their injectors? I maxed out my stock ones and need to get bigger ones. I understand that my HPFP and in tank pump are also near their limit but for now I’m just looking to change injectors. Does anyone have real experience on a Ranger? I’m seeing that the factory Focus...
I have been working on exactly this, problem is time and money right now. It would need a custom tune to work and the parts are expensive so it would only appeal to some people. I’m planning on making a prototype controller and seeing if it works then I’ll make an adequate fan assembly and do...
You sure it isn’t the engine cooling fan? They are engaged on startup and release after about 30 seconds. Not sure if this is the same thing you’re talking about but everyone’s truck does that.
I just did a 160+ mile trip from Baltimore to Philadelphia and back, never even turned off the truck. 356whp/392wtq full bolt on truck with upgraded turbo and E30 with 32” tires, I got 21.6mpg
Traffic was heavy in many places and I did up to 90mph in other parts, about half the trip was in...
Dashcam doesn’t portray the sound easily. That was 70 percent throttle in regular drive mode. My tune has shifting changes as well as engine changes. No physical modifications were done to the transmission though.
My locker stays engaged as long as it is loaded. I would prefer a better diff but the locker does stay engaged despite what they say. Besides I usually just launch in 4wd if I really need traction.
I’m pretty happy with it! Can’t wait to get a revised tune so I can step into it!
Try this video, this is in drive without flooring it. Starting to drizzle. I’m not sharing the mph on this one. ?
It actually took the squeaky sound away and replaced it with lots of new noises.
Dyno baseline pulls on 93 and e30 tuning
were done last Friday, gonna do some street tuning then back on the dyno at the next opportunity. I’m hoping a few days but we have paying cars to tune too.
sound up on the...
He’s got a 2.3 swapped Maverick. He sells them directly but the wheels are produced by Comp turbo. This is a completely stock, brand new turbo from Ford but with a larger billet compressor wheel and machined compressor housing. I need to drive it more to get a better impression but so far I’m...
So I put my Fast Mavericks upgraded turbo on this evening. Definitely a different driving experience than before. It is really strong and I haven’t even floored it yet. It makes a lot of turbo noises too, especially with my intake on it. Gotta look at data tomorrow and see about a tune revision...
You can have your (or whoever’s) block fitted with a deck support for about $1k. That IS closing the deck. If you opt for aftermarket sleeves then they are self supporting. Sleeving involves literally cutting everything out of the block and replacing it with steel sleeves. These engines are not...
Not sure about that. If you want a closed deck then spend $1k and have it done. If you want the added strength of aftermarket sleeves then spend a couple extra thousand and have that done.
The 2.0 block is great but it seems like a more complicated thing to adapt.
