Zaius, does this particular roof rack require drilling for attaching?
Drilling holes in my roof always puts the pause on any roof rack for me, living in a wet climate…
Nice swept streamlined roof rack.
We’ll all enjoy pics of it installed.
Congrats! I just bought a ‘20 with 35k miles.
Nice enjoyable pickup so far.
I would do the oil change to use your oil and be on your time frame. Its good insurance.
Have fun with it.
My mantra also. To keep some sort of economy going with the mid size truck.
It loses mpg’s pretty easily.
Plus not filling every corner with gear - space is at a premium.
The wife & I went out to dinner in our 5g.
I was feeling the new Fox shocks & how they perform. My wife did not complain about ride quality. :like:
When we got back I adjusted my headlights down - they were lighting up the sky.
…I am loving the visual impact of this Ford Ranger. Its my mini...
I wanted to follow up to my post on my 3.5BDS kit after some drive time. Maybe 50 miles in today…
Very solid feeling truck now. I have always had good experience with Fox shocks and I feel the same here initially.
I have a single rear leaf and that should work for my needs.
I am doing the...
Boom.
Off with the 2” level lift spacer!
3 1/2”F 1”R BDS w/Fox 2.0 now on the truck.
Plus a Westin modular bumper & lights.
The only pic I have at the moment… I haven’t even picked it up yet.
I am pretty excited about it.
Existing tires are 285/65-18’s with plenty of tread left. Next tires will...
Not knocking your idealology or route you went Frenchy. Its a route that many go with.
But your way is not the only way of setting up a vehicle.
Choice is good!
Are you in Australia? Here in the US height is allowed to fluctuate a bit between brands.
I am following you on the diff drop - I was...
You do not have to limit yourself to 2.5” of lift.
I am going BDS and 3.5” of lift.
Why?
BDS offer UCA’s to help correct angles. They have a minor diff drop to ease CV angles… Plus Fox shocks, which in my experience have always kept my ride in control. Some say they are soft? Thats good for me...
In snowy or icy conditions, use a ‘drag chain’ on a right trailer tire. It will help your trailer track straight. Especially with no trailer brakes.
Trailer brakes ‘unify’ your truck/trailer combo to work together.
My 7x14 tandem axle trailer has trailer brakes and I do carry a drag chain for...
I use 4wd semi regular just to leave & return to my home in the winter.
I rarely use low range. Usually on steep craggly uphills where 1st high range may be lugging. Then put it in drive low range if I dont need to hold a gear.
Most of the stuff I have done requires wheel speed, vs too much...
Yes correct. There are those that don’t keep them. I guess Jeeps have them and users pull them. I realize that the consensus ‘round here is to keep them, for the safety concern.
But many vehicles don’t have front or rear protection in that area anyhow…
The Readylift crash bars look the best but...
My rubber air damn is trimmed with a graceful curve, plus no crash bars.
To fit 285/65-18 (32.6”) 18x9 -12 offset originally.
I believe my spacer lift is 2-3” - I say that as I bought it used this way. Pretty general info I suppose.
No detectable rub to this point.
Well I cannot tell a lie… or keep a secret, so here it is…
I exchanged what I thought were god awful Fuel Assault wheels 18x9 -12 to Konig 18x9 0 offset wheels. In gloss anthracite. A middle ground between black or machined looks. The increased positive offset is a huge benefit too.
Stealthy but...
I just got into a ‘20 Ranger and love that body style (to the Max lol)…
The 6G initially hasn't sat well with me aesthetically speaking, but… a lifted leveled RR looks super bueno! …Tough looking truck.
The 6G Ranger can be brought around also IMO. Gotta get rid of the low hanging bumper in...
Nice job TerraMech. Toyotas have been done like this a 1000 times, along with F-150’s & full size chevys…
Good to see a mild pre runner Ranger setup.
The goals can be more suspension travel at reasonable heights, and along with a +2” in front (width) with increased travel for a nice all around...
