My '99 SuperCab was a rust bucket after 220k miles/15 years in the Great Lakes Rustbelt. The Bottom of the Doors and seams were pretty much trash. Same with the door sills, near where the two doors meet. Looks like there has been years of moisture build up in the lower weather strip on the...
Hi Rob,
It depends on how aggressive you go with your offset. You will have rubbing no matter what offset you go with, as for the Icon wheels look to be at least 35mm further negative in offset and wider than the OE wheels. I would recommend looking into a set of aftermarket crash bars...
Just want to give a short update on the Eibach spacers. Well worth the $$$ and the short time to install them. My truck still driving very well and would not consider going back to just a level. Highly recommend lifting the rear by 1" if you're considering leveling the front.
Wish I didn't spend a good chunk of change on 32 inch tires for my OE 18" wheels, a few months back. I would be on a set of those Icon is a heartbeat. Hope to find a deal like that when I'm back in the market again. Would like to find a nice set of mild offset wheels.
I bought my Lariet SuperCab FX4 back in August. It was $4000 below MSRP with total dealer incentives plus A-Plan in addition to that, and qualified for 1.9%/72 months.
Try driving an OBS 2WD Ford Pickup, then you will truly experience a bounce house on wheels. The new Rangers do have a little bit of a wallowy ride but its not unbearable or harsh in my opinion. Maybe try adding some wight in the bed?
As in how? I'm a very firm believer in just draining the oil. If there are any solids in the pan, hopefully the draining oil with draw them out. Some of the equipment I work on, that is used for hours and hours every single day, I will pour a quart of oil into the pan to flush it out even...
Slash would be a fun blast from the past! I could see it more of a "sticker package" but not in a flareside now. I agree with VAMike.... I don't see how they could hack it and make it actually look good and flow with the current body style. I'd be afraid it would come out looking like the...
As stated above, a tune will be the best bang for your buck. Then focus on hard parts if you're wanting to go for a more aggressive tune. If you're concerned about the warranty aspect, you can revert the ECM back to the OEM strategies with any quality tuning product when you need to bring the...
You'll need to modify your crash bars. The increase in offset will make your wheels swing/arc more while turning. I ran 1 inch spacers and it was very tight with rubbing on the crash bars. Back to stock offset with no rubbing and a 2 inch lift.
I have a 2 inch level in the front and 1 inch blocks in the rear. No rubbing in day to day to day commutes. Stock crash bars have not been molded. I do have an aftermarket set of crash bars I need to install though. Would like to do some trails next summer, and they will be needed when the...
I noticed mine had two separate pieces of tape, with a gap between the two in the middle. It rained here last night and I had no accumulation like that.
I just installed an AVS Aeroskin II defector today (while the temp was above 45f). Install was super easy. Wash off the truck at the quarter wash and wiped off the front of the hood with glass cleaner, then some alcohol wipes. I think it looks good. No drilling, just sticks on.
