Ah I had posted before taking it in and folks made it sound like I should not let them find out I had a tune. They asked for my second key and said that should fix it, but I'll talk to them in the morning and let them know I did have a tune and can bring that over to them
Been waiting for my truck back after warrantied transmission replacement.
Just got a call asking if I had a tune, I had set it back to the stock tune 3 weeks before taking it in, so I of course said no.
I did tell them I changed some lighting things with Forscan. But she said it's not even...
I am on a 3.5" lift on 33s. This summer's upgrades will be offroad bumpers. I just don't want to get stuck fooling around for 30 minutes just to protect my tailpipe again.
Apologies for how that last sentence may sound.
Last year the worst I got stuck was coming down a ledge and almost crushing my tailpipe.
Saw someone in the Facebook group making fun of someone with a side exit because it would be bad for obstacles.
What is the best way to go to protect the exhaust?
Brother you have absolutely saved my bacon.
Just got a text back from the dealership that it needs a full overhaul and I won't have it back until around April 11th
I've got 2 thousand miles left on my power train warranty so I might as well let them look at it just in case. Hardest part is not having the tune on anymore
I would assume it was the FP transmission tune. He sent me home with his card in case I ran into issues but I haven't a clue what I did with it... never thought I'd end up in a pickle with this truck
Would a non-Ford trans tune void the warranty? I bumped into a fella at the grocery store that waited by my truck to tell me the woeful story of his Ranger transmission and said they ended up covering 50% of the repair and sending him home with the tune that cycles through every gear. I'll...
As title says, when I first get in on a cold start, the transmission kind of doesn't want to go into second on the first shift. It sticks and then shifts.
I have a 91 Tune with the trans tune so it goes through every gear.
I was going to get a trans flush done, I am just shy of 60k miles. Would...
I have made some small changes with Forscan. Basic things like the cornering lights, display load-up image, etc.
Do I need to set everything back to stock before installing the tune?
Well I gave up and just ordered it. The BDX programmer will pull the code and I'll send it to them. Once I see the code I can reference what I can actually see in Forscan as well as the As Built data and see if it's something that's even accessible. Some older posts suggest forscan doesn't even...
