  1. Obscure/little things you love on the Ranger

Probably been mentioned before, but I like that the tailgate is tied to central locking, and I like being able to see the gears in the cluster
  2. How many miles on your Ranger at delivery ?

I wish I would have taken a picture, but 3 on the odometer when the salesman pulled it off the lot before the test drive, and 8 by the time I finished the test drive and signed the paperwork. I was surprised it was that low for it not being a special order, but definitely not complaining! (for...
  3. Softtopper now available for 2019 ranger

I've always been intrigued by softtoppers. I have a soft tonneau, but there are times where having the extra volume and still having the bed covered would be nice. I like the versatility and think they look kinda cool...but I'm wondering how it would work and hold up on just a day-to-day basis...
  4. 2019 Ford Ranger OEM Splash Guards

I did not pull the fender trim for the rear. I had to hold the flap in place, kind of guess where I want the pilot hole to go for the top bolt, drill through the flap and trim, then I could finish the hole and place the little metal bracket things along the trim and drill the rest of the holes...
  5. General Grabber ATX

Thanks for sharing pics, I was just wondering today what they'd look like on the factory 17" wheels. I had these on my 2017 Tacoma and loved them! Quieter than the stock Goodyears, smooth ride, and I found they had great grip all around. I had plenty of snow, mud, rock, and highway driving, and...
  6. Anyone else invited to the 'Ford Ranger Owners Event'?

I had the opportunity to attend a similar event in Pittsburgh back in June, but on the other side of the interview. We were interviewing Edge and F150 owners and getting feedback on their ownership experiences. People love talking about their cars and trucks, and we as engineers love getting...
  7. Ranger Gets Ford Performance Parts Leveling Kits with Coil-overs & Fox Shocks

Ford just announced today that they are offering a Ford Performance engineering and tuned leveling kit for Ranger and F150. https://www.at.ford.com/en/homepage/news-and-clipsheet/news/2019/9/leveling-suspension.html From the article: "The majority of Ranger and F-150 trucks are purchased...
  8. 2019 Ford Ranger OEM Splash Guards

Install wasn't bad. A little more effort to make sure they are squared up properly, and they did require drilling, but I'd say it took me less than 2 hours to do all 4 corners.
  9. Poll: What to do with Fordpass rewards?

Does anyone know if you can use your points to order online? Or do you have to go into the dealership?
  10. Winter Prep

I was just about to recommend fluid film myself! Stuff seems to work great at sealing and protecting steel. I used it on my Tacoma, and after 2 Michigan winters, the underside still looked pretty fresh. Prior experience with the Hankook Dynapros tells me that they are more than adequate in the...
  11. HOT PEPPER RED Ranger Club Thread

Overly edited cell phone pic in the rain, looks cool tho
  12. Lets see those Cab window decals!!

Boost and Detroit...also, bonus points for the American Flag in the reflection of the second picture :)
  13. Rangers at the Woodward Dream Cruise

I commute from the west side (Ypsilanti to Dearborn), I'd save over the past 2-3 weeks I've been seeing ~12 or so a day. Definitely more and more of them out there all the time, although probably skewed by all of us Ford employees who've jumped aboard lol
  14. Soft Tonneau Cover with Bed Rack

I have the Gator SFX tri-fold. The cover itself is pretty nice (see link to thread below), and I'd venture to guess the American Tonneau is the same cover sold under a different brand name. That being said, I'm not sure how compatible it is with a bed rack. The cover rests on top of the bed...
  15. Soft Tonneau

I have the Gator SFX Tri-fold (link below) that I purchased with shipping for ~$285. Installation was fairly straight forward and took all of about 30 minutes, most of which are just making sure it is lined up right. The cover seems pretty well made for the price, both the vinyl top and the...
  16. Former Tacoma Owners Club

    I second this statement!
  17. Former Tacoma Owners Club

I also came from a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I liked the appeal of a modern, rugged and reliable small pickup with a manual transmission. I had my local dealer order me the truck I wanted. I had it for a little over two years, and put 52,000 miles on it. The truck didn't have any catastrophic...
  18. Hubcentric Rings

As long as the hub diameter of the wheels is equal-to or greater-than the hub diameter on the truck, there shouldn't be any issue. Most aftermarket wheels are 'lugcentric' and rely on conical lug nuts for centering. I don't foresee any issues with it. Edit: Discount Tire Link...
  19. Ford Ranger Sales Doubled in Q2; Ford Second Quarter Total Pickup Sales Strongest In 15 Years

Mine is too. Ironically enough, this Ford dealership is literally across the street from Michigan Assembly where the new Rangers are being put together (although I purchased my Ranger at a different dealership about 10 miles away). Loving the Ranger so far, glad to see sales are looking strong.
  20. Bed Alignment Issues from Factory

Has anyone else had this issue or had it fixed yet? Just noticed today that mine is almost identical to this; my bed favors the passenger side by about 1/2". Probably an easy fix, just seeing if anyone else has tackled it?
