The transmitter sticks for my radio controlled aircraft are nothing more than a position sensor (Hall Effect) yet they are easily calibrated using a similar action . I'm curious as to why you think nothing can be achieved in a similar manner other than replacing the pedal ?

Probably keeps his foot in the Boost part of Eco . I get 19mpg city with my FX4 Lariat with 2 size larger tires and 2.5" level kit and I don't baby it but I don't leave every stop like my a$$ is on fire either ,LOL.

Don't know but probably has fine print that states for off road use only , check local laws before installing or similar . Reminds me of the shock absorbing bumpers mandated in the late 70's before crumple zones or airbags etc .
The problem arises after a crash . There was a big lawsuit over one that bowed in the front bumper of a car that prevented the airbag from deploying correctly . It was a long time ago so I can't recall the outcome but you have to be aware of how it will affect someone that hits you from behind ...
Sanded the hood with 180 grit yesterday and sprayed some black epoxy primer on both sides mainly to use as a guide coat . 320'd today and didn't find any pin holes or imperfections . This is a good hood . Hopefully I can get it painted sometime next week . I don't want to blend in the fenders...
