Well, I took the truck back from Ford today as they weren't going to do anything. The service manager felt 'uncomfortable' with the situation because of the damage to crossmembers and skid plate. Imo, this should have pretty much zero correlation to any sort of transmission malfunction. (Exhaust...
Highly suggest doing your research on getting new tires. A lot of places have bad prices. Maybe even consider opening yourself a TireRack Wholesale account; that's what I did. You save a good bit. I looked them up and I see $210 a tire on that site.
Update…
So they’re saying that my transmission warranty is no longer because I put an aftermarket metal pan on. Fuck sake another shitshow with my ranger and the dealer.
Any suggestions on how do deal with this bull?
For sure, Tremor stock is a perfect build with the spacer to level it. The whole suspension system on the BDS kit should relocate all those things that’ll be affected by the big ass spacer. Calling today to order it, so we shall see.
Ranger body style is the perfect size though imo. Anything bigger isn't practical for my job and i'd never even use it.
How would it overextend everything when the suspension system compensates for all bad angles? Diff relocation, longer steering knuckles, etc would correct all those, to an...
Yeah. I completely understand your point.
However, i've already been through my offroading phase of the truck. It's been a year of bashing it and I've gotten tired of fixing things on it... rock chips, transmission pans, and now a transmission. I'm 17 and want to make this more of a pavement...
6" BDS... looking at the spacer vs the 2.5 coilover.
Spacers are only 1300 while new coilovers are near 4K. Don't want to spend that type of money.
They said they just ain't tested it on the Tremor. But like you were saying, I don't see why it wouldn't fit somewhat close to right.
Ok ?.
The reason I’m asking is, I’m trying to get a lift kit that uses a spacer. They advertise it as not working with the coil over, but I didn’t think it was true. Thanks for confirming that the pattern is the same.
If for some reason you have a strut taken off... can someone take a measurement for me? :sunglasses:
I'm looking to see how far away these top bolts are from each other.
Thanks in advance.
I actually might try this. I was doing some fucking crazy shit on the highway… the median and shoulders is a lane right? Sorry Mr Technician, I was trying to avoid the other cars!
So when I head to ford tomorrow will they hook me up to scanners to see how fast I was going and trans temp? I have no idea how any of that works so I appolgize for my idiotism in advance.
