After the issue I let it sit for 30 minutes on the side of the highway. It was said to me that the trans pan was overfilled. When it heated up it started spilling out fluid out of the top. However that doesn't explain the gear change. Maybe something to do with hitting the governor and an...
Well, Florida everyone goes 90-100 on the highways at all times.
It held over 8,000RPM for 10 seconds or so until I was able to pull over. I tried dropping it into neutral but didn't want to shift there either. The stick moved but the actual gear nor dash light didn't go to neutral.
We shall find out of my 'overfill' predictions are correct Wednesday! :whew:
... Now I should probably clean all the mud off my truck before I bring it in.
Slow acceleration, only maintained for 30 seconds. Now sure, if I was throttle down all the way; totally different story. I donāt expect things to go sideways doing what itās built to do.
UPDATE!
I think I was just sending erā too hard and fluid started leaking out of the blow hole. Taking to ford after my mudding trip to see if anythingās wrong.
I think that when they replaced the pan they overfilled it. Thatās what one of my buddies said whoās a mechanic.
? Crisis avertedā¦...
Going about 90 in my 2023 Ranger. Nothing special.
Suddenly drops to 4th gear and redlines until i slam on the brake and pull over.
Leaking trans fluid from the pan (I just replaced 3 months ago) and is steaming/smoking from the area.
wtf?
Very true. Let me know if you do anything with that.
I'm trying to work with BDS and get something figured out. Possibly deleting some parts to make the kit a bit more affordable.
Rear shocks aren't needed because they supply 2.0's. We already have that. We even have the remote reservoir...
They supply a switch, and itās not really an on/off type of deal. Itās a two way switch that rotates a motor back and forwarth.
If it was able to hook up to that iād for sure do that.
