You may have solved your problem or you may still have it. If the wheels were not mating correctly they may have caused the drums mating surface to get distorted when the wheels were torqued. This can happen even with clean wheels if the proper torque sequence is not followed. Once distorted the...
Which lights are you saying are on sale? At that price I have to assume it is the Morimotos

Granted you can see everything up to the rear bumper of your trailer. Not along side if your trailer! If your mirrors do not extend out wide enough to be able to see the side of your trailer all the way to the rear bumper, you have a huge blind spot along side of your trailer that a motorcycle...
I would hope that the new head unit had programming for both. Once he gets it communicating with the truck over Canbus it should pick the correct display.
@airline tech is correct, any module/device communicating over Canbus needs to be programmed with the vehicles VIN#. There are also...
Those are great for seeing what is behind you. Especially those people who like to tuck in tight behind you and hook a free ride in the draft zone. But I like the wider mirrors to also be able to see what is beside me AND the trailer. When in heavy traffic or need to change lanes.
Both are...
Really want to hear more about this "friction modifier" thing. Normally that is only "required" for a LDS. But, having it is not an issue for a open or locking differential.
It is still the Ford SYNC system. Cyan Labs simply gets the files from Ford and takes care of formating the USB stick as required and downloading the files into the proper location/folders for you. No hassle of downloading a zipped file and unzipping it and making sure they are located properly...
@airline tech , if your still running version 2.3.22, you need to update your version of Forscan. The current version is 2.3.62, there are probably new configuration menus and possibly modules your not seeing.
Were you downloading from the Ford site to get the update? Maybe the stick was not setup properly.
I have long since given up on the Ford updates and use the Cyan Labs SYN3Updater app. It formats the USB stick and downloads the files into the proper locations on the stick. No unzipping, or...
I agree with Steve, They were the best money spend on towing equipment, other than a good WDH. Buy once, Cry once. It's really nice not having to remember to put on, take off the clamp on mirrors, just pull them out or push them in.
If you are looking for Clip/Clamp on mirrors stay away from...
The biggest problem is most of the skill set has already been lost. If it wasn't for turning on your high beams how many people would know the left stalk on the steering wheel even exists. Do they even teach proper turn signal usage in drivers ed anymore? Only thing with that is you can't...
I tend to agree. The other issue is the size of the motorcycle, people are use to seeing something at least as big as a car. So, they can't judge the distance to the motorcycle. They think it is farther away than it really is. The extra lights may help with judging speed though.
That right there is the reason the US does not have a national DRL law like Canada has. It was the motorcycle lobby that got it shot down. I have been a cycle rider for 50 plus years and beleive me being the only ones on the road with your headlights on does not make you any more visible. I have...
Agreed, that is why I changed mine to include parking lamps. Very easy to do in Forscan. What is the issue with having lights all around all the time. Yes, at dusk/dawn you don't need them to see by, but they are also for other people to SEE you.
Personally, I wish they would do away with the headlight switch entirely. They would always be on automatic and the DRLs would include tail/marker lights. If you wanted to use the "PARKING" lights it would be a dash menu selection and would reset as soon as you started the vehicle. Same thing...
On a US 5G Ranger the headlamp switch must be in the Auto position and the transmission NOT in Park, for the DRLs to work. The DRLs can be turned off in the IPC menus. In Canada, I believe they are required to have the DRLs on anytime the vehicle is running so they will also be on with the...
