Wow! The same panic, disbelief and "not me" saying on every forum I've looked at.
The 2.7 and 5.0 engines have been using this system since 2018. How many engines is that? How many failures have me heard about, directly attributed to the belt failing?
Fine if it is such a bad design, prove it...
THIS, I believe most people that have had this issue had the entire driveshaft replaced under warranty. The driveshaft assay is coded as a warranty item but the bearing is not.
Just trying to give her options to try without using Forscan. The "Easy Menus" in the configuration files are one thing, but actually going into the as-built files and editing the HEX codes is a little different.
I have to go in and see if any additions have been made to the configuration menus...
OK, update on my DRL want. Went into Forscan today and double check all my settings.
I have my "Allowed DRL Options" set to "128 - All Options".
My "DRL Conditions" is set to "A" for U.S.
MY "DRL Configuration" is set to "4 - Fog Lamp".
My "Daytime Running Lights Includes Parklamps" is set to...
I went out and played with mine. If I get in and do not immediately start the truck, my dome lights will stay on about 26 seconds from closing the door before they time out. They stay on as long as the door is open.
So, it looks like your options are do not start the truck immediately, and use...
Had to look up what driveshaft steady bearing was. Never heard the center support bearing called that. For that price you could replace the driveshaft with a Tom Woods single piece shaft and never have the issue again. There, I beat everyone else to that.
Not sure what the parts are but sounds...
Yes, Android Auto should have popped up with the map on the left 2/3s of the screen as soon as you plugged your phone in. Agree on the master reset to get everything back to factory. You will need to download the latest version and install it via USB stick, it won't update via WIFI. Or you can...
OOH, and you can get it in blue to match my truck! A project is the best excuse to buy new tools! ???
Oh, and I'll need to buy the top cabinet for my bottom cabinet to have a safe place for it. ?
Yeah the last time I was over there it was much more of a third degree getting back, than getting up there. As I remember the customs guy at the Detroit/Windsor bridge didn't even look up from his morning paper. ?
Yes, that is a photo of the American falls at Niagara taken from the Canadian side. But, it is not flipped. That small falls to the right is Bridle Vale falls between Goat island and Luna island. It appears it was taken during high flow. Been there, seen that.
With the DRL harness the DRL strips on the lights are on any time the truck is started, no matter switch position. I am totally fine with this. Because I live with my switch in AUTO, I would not care if the tail/parking were on all the time or when not in park. The truck is running and the draw...
Checked mine again today. Still looks good, soft and pliable, no cracks. Maybe my 2019 had better hose, you know the decontenting with COVID.
I do wonder about the heat. That stub mounted to the engine gets pretty hot.
This whole issue is getting real interesting. I just installed a set of OLM by Coplus lights in my 2019 XLT with halogen lights. I had them set to use the fog lights as DRL and include parking lights with the DRLs. I also run my headlight switch in AUTO exclusively. The OLM lights are basically...
I sure hope fordpass is not reading our mileage in real time. Though, that would explain why our batteries keep going dead. Then we would have something to worry about. ?
Not today, but yesterday. Got my two EGR sensors I ordered from Rock Auto. Haven't experienced any major shuddering slow around town, but have some when backing out of the driveway at idle. More being ready than a necessary. Need to pick up some 3/4 inch hose clamps now.
Finished up my headlight install today. For most part not to terrible. But man getting the grille out is a pain. Those bottom clips are a b@#$%h. I do come up with a way to make them super easy. Take a small drill (just big enough to push a small Phillips screw driver though). Now drill a hole...
Just got a very interesting email back from Underland Offroad. He explained that OLM by Coplus lights are infact the same as the Morimoto lights. That Coplus is actually the OE manufacturer for many if not all of Morimotos lights.
He agreed that the instructions leave much to be desired and...
