Totally agree, they need to learn actions have consequences. No consequences is approval of their actions and will just lead to more similar or worse actions in the future. If I had done something like this when I was young I wouldn't be sitting down for a week. Now you would probably get sued...
Yeah, it uses the blind spot radars for cross-traffic alerts. Saved my butt in parking lots more than once. The way some people think parking lots are race tracks.
You must have loved the A-Team then. ? lots of shooting and explosions but nobody ever gets killed. I think Stephen J. Cannell had it in for Jeeps. They almost always flipped at least one.
OK, I hope this helps, please ignore the dirt and dust. I have a 2019 XLT FX4 with the 302A package.
Top row L to R: trail control, ASS, locking diff.
Bottom row: L to R: Trailer Tow, parking sensors, stability control.
I pretty much have everything on mine except the tech package. So, no ACC...
As a mechanical designer/engineer with a 45 year career in the high speed converting industry, I am all to familiar with how to setup a driveshaft with Cardan joints on each end. As well as the speed pulses the induce intermediate shaft. I have been trying to figure out how Ford figured they...
This sounds like the startup shudder some people feel and complain about. I personally haven't noticed it on mine, at least not bad enough to care about 4 seconds on startup. My personal opinion is it has to do with the startup torque and the resilient mounting of the center bearing on the...
Tongue weight can be a bit confusing to people. Look at it this way. It is the weight that is on the ball of the hitch. It can be adjusted by moving things about in the trailer, and should be between 10 and 15 percent of the total unhitched trailer weight. The type of hitch does not change it...
That's why I like my Lightning Blue with the Sport appearance package. My wheel trim and bumpers are magnetic. Never understood why the Blackout package left the wheel arches body color.
Two entirely different use cases. The major issue with the Ecoblue application appears to be use of a wet belt for cam timing. And any belt wear particles/pieces getting into oil sump. This is a completely different use than driving an oil pump. Much higher loads and tensioning. Even dry timing...
I'm reading your statement and am trying to understand how you are actually deciding how many gears your transmission has/uses. Are you manually shifting in S, or are you locking out gears in D?
Also, I hear so many people talk about their transmissions hunting for gears. Occasionally watch my...
As a design engineer I have to disagree with this assumption. No offense to your friend. The increased number of gears would actually reduce the stress on the parts by reducing the speed/rpm difference between gears when shifting. The main wear parts in an automatic transmission are the...
I agree, it is normal. Sounds like it's grinding marbles.
A while back had an Olds Bravada. That thing was like a mountain goat on slippery winter roads. But, when the ABS kicked in it sounded like like the engine was falling out. They mounted the ABS valve bank on the metal inner fender and...
Good luck to the OP on the knee surgery. Haven't had a joint replaced, yet. But, know several people who have. Best advice they all said is, do what your physical therapist says. No less and no more. Doing too much too soon can do more damage than good.
As far as the storage. Fill it with...
Been so long since I set mine up, 5 years, but it should have popped up a message about making some AA setting changes. Hopefully someone that's done it more recently will chime in.
Edit: there is a Auto window reset procedure that needs to be done anytime the battery is disconnected.
OK, that is the normal 8" SYNC screen. Have you plugged your phone in to one of the USB ports in the console cubby hole? The 5G Rangers do not have wireless AA, so you must plug your phone in, and only the ones down in the cubby work for it. I do not have factory NAV on my XLT but AA works great.
