I tried out the cornering fog lights and was not a fan. My wife drove it first after I made the settings change and thought she came home and said my lights were messing up. I drove it last night and can see why it would weird her out. I don't mind the light coming on when I turn, but don't...
Hadn't thought of that. I'll have to test that too. Do the Key Fob control modules have pinch protection?
I was able to get the clip by loosening the bottom of the door card a bit!
I pulled up my passenger door switch (and of course broke a clip!!!) and the plug is pretty small, so based on the picture, the module should easily slip into the hole.
There is one clip on the back. I think the only way to not break it is to pull loosen the door card or maybe just the trim...
The module I ordered has no extra wires. Plug the truck's switch harness into it and harness from the module into the switch, so hopefully the door card can stay on. No idea when it will arrive, but I'll find out.
I assume the windows with the fob module needs to steal power from the door...
This is just one touch. No auto windows. I really liked the global windows I've been able to program on my VW's over the years, but I like the way they work better than what I've seen from the auto open/close modules for our trucks.
On a VW, you just hold the unlock and it'll start rolling...

It's a one touch window module. The site says you attach it to the windows that you want 1 touch on and then that switch and the master switch will have 1 touch to that window. I mention...
I did this today and do think the pedal feels better. I didn't notice the ABS reset under the bleed procedure at first and was freaking out a bit because the DTCs wouldn't clear. Reset the ABS module, was able to clear them and all was good.
Based on other threads I've seen here, the XL Trim level trucks don't have the prewiring for the TBC. XLT and Lariat do for sure even if they don't come with the factory tow package.
My wife isn't wild about the ride, though she's hardly used to trucks. It rides better than my first truck, which was a GMC Sonoma with ZQ8 sport suspension. It handled pretty good, but you felt every single road imperfection. Any truck I've been in has a ride that feels less refined than the...
I have a 4x2 and don't think it rides badly. The dealer had really over inflated the tires, which once fixed really improved the ride. I have no idea if the 4x2s have different rear shocks and also haven't seen any posts from someone specifically with a 4x2 complaining about the ride or...
Drove to pick up some lumber. I was pulling a small trailer and am pretty happy with the mileage. About 110 of this is interstate cruising at around 70mph. Less than 10 were in town.
Here's the first half of the trip. I caught almost all the lights, so I only had to accelerate from a stop...
I installed a liberty instead of the elite. The light behind the button is perfectly visible during the day. I wonder if Redarc would replace the switch if they were contacted about the light being too dim. I don't think it's normal.
I removed the clips from the connector, bent them a little to open them up with some pliers, put them back on the connector and pushed it in place. At first, I didn't open them up enough. Second try was right on.
I once did 130 in my mom's 1992 Mitsubishi Expo. I was a teenager and driving down the big hill on I-64 heading towards the Kentucky River. I'm surprised it didn't have a speed limiter. My first vehicle was a 99 GMC Sonoma and it was limited to 93 ish. I hit it numerous times. Since I've...
I voted Rapid Red, because it's what I bought. When I was shopping there were three Rangers at 2 dealers within 100 miles of me that met my criteria. One dealer had Cactus Grey and Oxford White and the other had the Rapid Red. I asked for quotes form both dealers. The Cactus truck was already...
