Homelink has been my best right-at-$100-shipped purchase. However the kit is selling for $150 now on eBay. I'm also happy with my front tinted windows, but not sure that's too much of a mod.
The module actually comes with a plastic trim tool that should work for the job. The clip on mine broke because I couldn't see how it was made. I was hoping my pics would help others avoid the same problem. The top angled part of the clip seats against the underside of the top of the armrest...
It's the video linked from the QR code I received with the recall notice from Ford on my Ranger. Different vehicle, but yanking on your seatbelt like she does will 100% show if your truck has the issue.
Edit: Scan the QR code in the quote in the post above this one. It'll open the video I...
I'm not an off-roader, but my understanding is that a solid axle acts like a lever. When one end is pushed up by the terrain, it pushes down on the other end increasing traction.
I'm assuming they can be stronger as well.
A German friend drove a ford and chuckled when I told him "Found on road dead" He said his dad always said.
"Fort mit dem Ford, zurück mit der Bahn"
,which is something like. Leave in a Ford, return by train. It's more poetic auf Deutsch.
I've never had a car where the headrests didn't interfere with a forward facing child seat, but usually the headrests could be removed and reinstalled easily. I removed one headrest on my Ranger, but wouldn't call having to unbolt the seat back easy. maybe the replacements will just have shorter...
Got the recall stuff too. At least the packet does a pretty good job of explaining how to check if your seatbelt was assembled incorrectly. Mine are both fine, but it could be seriously dangerous if yours are incorrectly assembled and you need your seatbelt to save your life. What a crazily...
+1 on towels. Seriously cheap and seriously effective.
Plus you can double them up and more or less hide them behind car seats and boosters while still letting them preform their magic.
I have a Supercab, so I don't have any rear door switches. It's the reason why I was so interested in this option since I just needed one door. They have a three pack on their site, but it's not discounted over buying three of one.
I assume shipping would stay the same if you bought three...
I purchased this module from Trac Electronics in Australia for about $60 shipped. It took about two weeks to arrive. It adds one touch up and down to one window of your choosing. I have. a Supercab. On a Supercrew, you'd need three.
Here are the online install instructions, but please...
I guess all trucks have similar pinch welds but I think they stand out less on the Ranger than on some other trucks to me. The Colorado is the worst. From the side, the pinch weld really stands out and you can see pretty much see the whole frame rail under it. The worst part to me is that from...
