Its because its a SL tire, which is equivalent to a 3-ply I believe. I have no doubts their LT tires are amazing ,especially with Kevlar, which is what makes the Kenda tires so good!
I briefly cross shopped the Colorado and Canyon, but after seeing the endless issues they have with their transmission I just noped out. I feel that for a vehicle that I will be heavily modifying, I need a solid foundation with proven reliability. The Ranger is the 3rd 2.3 ford vehicle I have...
After a quick look, I would bet that your quoted weight was for a P tire, not an LT tire. That weight is in line with Other P rated A/T tires from Falken and Kenda. C rated should even be closer to, if not in, the 40's. So, if you are comfortable with a P rated tire, then it is on-par with the...
This! I frequently haul a 10,000+lb jetter with a pintle hitch and its horrible lol! For my hitch I just wrap the shank with electrical tape a few times in a couple places and it removes the slack and noise, It is also not permanent and its still easy to remove/insert!
Have the axle level when you are installing or it will be hard to get the leaf packs to line up, get some grease, be sure to have the proper tools before starting, have jackstands, consider doing the bump stops at the same time so they don't limit your new leafs. Good luck with install!
We will see when I take it to Moab! I was going to buy the OME kit because of your posts. But in the end decided against it for slightly more lift, for much less money. I am certain the OME kit is top notch. But, I am willing to mix it up a bit!
I think the RC items are under represented by this community. I agree that they make some less that acceptable quality items, or did at some point. I have a few RC items on my truck (Front D rings, rear shocks, and more) And they've all been above average quality. My rear shocks are 1.5-3.0...
I have 4 kids, 2 in car seats. We have a HUGE front facing and a rear facing. Rear facing is in the middle, the huge forward facing is on DR side. We do have to move our seats up slightly. I am 6'1" and have no issues with where the seat is. Hope this helps! We also use this setup in my wife's...
I 100% prefer to change my own oil. Like others have said, it is a great time to ensure that other things are still in working condition and you know all of your bolts, air dam, skid plate etc are all properly installed. True story, I was sick and my wife was taking her jeep out of town the next...
I had a pop tune on my Type R and never again. Destroyed my cat in less than 500 miles, then went catless and ran a new tune, and tuner told me that yeah basically I'm gonna melt some pistons, but it sounds good so YOLO yea
There are several trucks, on this forum no less, that are running 275, even 285’s with wheel spacers-with no lift, with crash bars pushed. Search function is your friend!!
I declined the Beacon thing and it made zero difference in my quote. I am in my mid 30's if it helps. I got the quote through an independent agent first. My mom did have one of their beacon things and she frequently speeds, and generally drives erratically/insane and her rates have never...
I had USAA for 13 years, no wrecks, no tickets, etc and it just kept going up and up. I was paying $330/mo or about $4000/year for my Truck and a Kia minivan. I shopped around and went with StateFarm and I am now paying around $1600/year. I asked USAA to look at my rate and that I had been using...
Whew, be prepared. There are dozens of posts, many with pictures already on the forum. I’m 99% sure it’s 285/70r17 with crash bars moved/removed/replaced with spacers on stock wheels (1/4”+). Or a 255/80r17 with above crash bar modifications.
I paid $39k for my XLT FX4 with tech and sport pkg. I traded my 2021 Accord for 36k, which was 5k more than I paid for it a year prior. My oldest daughter will be driving our renegade next year, and we will be buying a new vehicle for My wife. She wants a bronco but all of the dealerships within...
clips. If I go with UCA’s I will probably raise to 3.5”. I am also installing the add-a-leaf with king shocks, and icon bump stops in the rear. I was hoping I could set the front to 3” and keep the factory UCA’s for now.
