don;'t know about you folks, but our emissions test consists of plugging in a OBDII reader to see if there are any exhaust or cat system codes. They do a pressure test on your gas cap.
they check for check engine lights that are exhaust related.
no codes - you pass.
Well, bought the tuner, and uploaded my file yesterday. I wasn't really sure what to ask for, nor real clear on what exactly they provide by default. I ended asking for towing, perf (87 and 91/93) and soft shift 91/93.
Thanks much. If I can, I'll try to do this tomorrow afternoon. I am afraid the darn job will get in the way though.
If tomorrow goes like I expect, then it will be Friday afternoon. Have a 9am appt for the new tires, so I may just take the day off and do this. I'll have the two light kits...
So, I went and laid under the truck to look for this spot. I found a rubber grommet just to the outboard side of the drive shaft. Is that the location you're talking about?
I'm trying to look at this and the firewall, to see which I'm going to do. The Auxbeam kit will be here today, and I'll...
I really like the look of it but I can't afford to pay that much to get it done.
I've only had the truck 6 weeks, and it's a financial sink hole.
My last car was a Jeep, and I spent 3 or 4 years thinking about the things I would like to do. With the truck, I just decided to go ahead and do it...
Chickened out - looks like too much work. I went the easy way - light bar for the giant opening in the front, and pillar ditch lights. Also bought an auxbeam switch system.
I do appreciate your help in picking out some tires, and in setting me up at my local store to get them installed.
Install date of the Cooper AT3 XLT's (265/70/18) is next Friday when I get back from a work trip.
Thanks once again. Will be sure to post a pic once they're on.
That's what I will be doing with the TBC. I think I'll mount the switch panel over under the headlights switch, and put the TBC in that socket location.
I like the look of that one, and also can't find the Lightforce anywhere.
So, did you home run your auxiliaries to the switch board, or did you install a fuse/relay box in the engine compartment?
Nice looking truck by the way. I too am going to buy the Cooper AT3's.
seems like something like the auxbeam will be easiest. I can put the trailer controller in the driver side 12v socket, which I never use anyways.
Did you have to remove carpet and then put it back down some how? How did you get from the floor grommet to the controller? Also, how did you...
I like the look of these, and they're pretty cheap. Think I'll jump in. Hopefully, after yelling enough swear words, and bleeding from 100 small cuts on my hands and arms, it'll work.
Probably be a few weeks before I can get to the install, but I'll try to supplement the instructions as...
So, I am looking at getting the Auxbeam or similar. In the past, I just wired lights to the battery with an inline fuse, so using a relay box is new to me, but seems much more convenient.
So I have a few questions for those who know this better than I do:
- It looks as though only one cable...
Well, CMP overdramatizes the bad parts of the condition. They are always in better shape than the description says.
You can look at the CMP forums at the pics folks post of the ones they receive.
I think they range from about 900-1200. Those same guns sell for 3k or more on auction sites...
you should get on the CMP's list for a military surplus 1911. They are still taking orders. Most of the ones they sell are WWII, but they are random, and not guaranteed. Some guys get WWI, and some from the period in between. A few folks have gotten modern special forces sidearms, originally...
Mine's a soft tri-fold, which I guess you can tell.
I wasn't sure when I first closed it, but the box isn't all the way against the side.
Good luck. If it doesn't work, I'll delete these posts. :)
BTW - I bought a cheap one from ebay for like $120. The bracket was bent, and it wouldn't...
