Well, a local tire shop has a pretty good deal on the Cooper AT3 XLT's.
I was looking at 4S's, and at Wildpeak AT3's, but the XLT's are the same price as 4S, and cheaper than the Falkens, at this place. I thought it was a mistake when they told me the installed price.
I have a 1500 mile work...
Really old thread, but my 48 inch Hi-Lift fits behind the back seat with the handle on it without issue. I made the handle removable so the handle itself can be used as a leverage tool if needed. I used it to replace the axle nuts when I put the leveling kit in.
Anyways, I took the steel base...
a couple of things:
trailer hitch insert with Georgia Tech logo
bottle jack
base plate for Hi-Lift Jack
cotter pins for jack to make base and handle removable
console tray
console black leather cover
No dampers.
Not the Fox kit, but in my Eibach thread I posted some. Left the front at the setting the came with. Still has a very slight rake. I have room on the fronts to dial them up another inch or so.
Hadn't really looked much at the AT3 4S, but it's about $50/tire cheaper than the XLT, which brings the price for 5 back a little closer to earth.
Seems to get good reviews.
Well, some of you may have seen my "difficulties" thread in the initial install, where I pulled out a cv axle. I pulled the axle out, fixed the cv, and put the axle back in.
Well, after going through that, the whole thing is finally installed. The most significant PITA in that was that, for...
I created a FB for that. It seems that they go on forest service roads. I haven't really seen any reviews of the Hankooks, other than youtube.
I am thinking of going with Cooper AT3's.
You folks probably know this, but in case you don't:
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) was issued a lot of military 1911's. The CMP is in the process of selling those weapons to the public.
Here's a link:

I am in the queue...
Here's a few more for grins and giggles
First up: Springfield 1842 - Union troops rifle. 0.69 caliber ball - ouch
Springfield 1884 Trapdoor. First US military cartridge rifle, used by Custer and crew. 45-70 Government cartridge.

Can you not get apple carplay or android auto to work? I use AA and it took an initial setup on my phone, but it displays fine.
Phone has to be plugged into usb for it. I think apple is wireless, but not sure.
I downloaded it, but the only free thing I see on it is digital black and white pdf motor vehicle use maps. They do show where you're at on them, which is nice, but there's no info.
That USFS Visitor map was great because it showed trail names, camp sites, features like picnic areas and...
This is actually one ofbthe applications I was most interested in.
The USFS has a really good trail app, but right now, it's not letting android download offline maps.
