It looks like condensation from the AC. Not sure if it’s warm where you are. It’s definitely warm where I am. If you can touch it you will be able to tell very quickly if it’s Transmission fluid. Next time you see it back up till the truck isn’t over what’s fell to the ground and see what it is.
Hold down the traction control button till the supplemental assist and everything else is disabled on top of the traction control. I think you have to hold it down 5 or 10 sec. You will see it pop up on the screen in the gauge cluster.
I put in the tire sizes. It says I should have went from the stock 37psi down to 35psi. Here is the email from Cooper.
Thanks for your email. Because you went from a standard load, 4-ply rated tire to a load range E, 10-ply rated tire, you can bump the air pressure up a little bit. We would...
I have ran conventional gear oil in the past. I currently have Valvoline synthetic in the front and rear. I’m running the Motorcraft ATF in the transfer case that’s recommended in the manual. I’m at 87k miles with probably 10k of them towing. My honest opinion is don’t get caught up in the...
Email Cooper. That’s what I did. Include the truck, model, 2 or 4wd and they will reply pretty quickly. I have the Cooper Rugged Treks in load range E. I think they recommend 44psi based on the rangers weight. I posted it somewhere on the forum a couple years ago. I also chalked them. What they...
Fitzstick makes it stupid proof. Not dealer tech proof ? you don’t see what you don’t check lol. That’s my opinion. I haven’t been to the dealership since my warranty expired. I didn’t want an issue if something happened under warranty and being denied.
Sounds like a plan! We have lots of dirt roads with no traffic for the warm up lol. It’s probably way warmer here in Charleston than it is in where you’re at. The beer fridge stays stocked lol.
They saved my truck one day when the wind caught the door of the guy parked next to me. I heard it hit, got out and looked it was a chip off the running board. Guy was super apologetic about it. I said no worries I don’t like them any way lol. I was going to remove them till that happened lol...
I replaced my filter for the first time around 85k miles. I’m certain the gasket could have been reused. I installed a new one to be safe. If I'm that far into a project there’s no way I’m going to risk an issue when I’m done over something like a gasket I’ve already removed lol.
I change mine yearly. Not a hard date but sometime in the winter lol. So about every 20k miles. Sometimes might be sooner. I tow a lot and do long trips pulling the boat. As cheap and easy as it is to do I figure why not. Im at 87k miles with no issues.
If the dealer says it doesn’t need replacing I would definitely change the fluid and filter. Plus the LubeGuard. I did all of that Sunday. The transmission shifts soo much smoother and there is no more shutter from the Torque Converter. I’m at 86k miles and also tuned.
