  1. Towing Pressure

I’ve been running the 265/70/17 Rugged Treks for roughly 45k miles. I have the LT E rated tires. For me around 45 psi cold is where they ride the best and the chalk test confirmed it. Cooper suggested 42-45 as well. We have different tires, but that’s the best help I have lol. I tow my boat a...
  2. Transmission harsh shifting and stuck in 4th gear.

That sounds like the deal of the day lol! I’m glad they worked with you and paid a substantial portion of the bill!
  3. Is the Patagonia AT Pro the perfect tire?

You’re spot on. Everything is a compromise. That’s what I tell everyone when they are boat shopping. You aren’t gonna go fish redfish in the grass in the same boat you’re going to fish reefs on 20 miles out lol.
  4. Is the Patagonia AT Pro the perfect tire?

Buying tires stresses me out lol. It’s not a short term commitment. I feel like all tires are good for the first few thousand miles then the issues show up. I’m a little over 45k miles with the Cooper Rugged Trek E rated tires. The only reason I have the E rated is because the tire shop put...
  5. Tow mode all the time?

I run the Livernois Tow/Haul tune 90% of the time. I’ve been tuned for 85k miles. I only use the Tow/Haul button when I’m actually towing. I also live in an a very flat area. I probably don’t change elevation by more than 50ft for months at a time lol.
  6. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Grilled hot dogs at the lake. Tailgates are great for cooking!
  7. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Hauled the boat and hit 90k miles on the Ranger!
  8. Best Tuning Option

I have been running the Livernois tune for 84,000 miles with zero issues. There are several good tuners from what I’ve read on the forum over the years. The reason I went with Livernois over the others is they were on sale at the time lol. I highly recommend a tune.
  9. The miles have flown

I’m running the Rugged Treks in the E rated LT version. I have roughly 40k miles on them. They have been great. They aren’t loud and they don’t ride rough. I will say my experience has been they are air pressure sensitive and running higher than normal pressure is a big contributor to how they...
  10. Another One Down 10r80

I’m at 88,000 miles on the original tranny. My stress level goes up everytime I look at the odometer lol. I also tow frequently. Hopefully running a tune since the 1st oil change and servicing the transmission will put me into the unicorn status of longevity for these transmissions ? I doubt it...
  11. Transmission Question

I’m at 88k miles on my original transmission. I always let my truck warm up for at least 3-4min even in the summer. Usually longer in the winter. It randomly does the jerkiness sometimes when I first start driving. Maybe 2-3 times a month.
  12. Oil filter is stuck

I’ve removed filters off of engines laying outside for over a decade and not had much issue. The worse oil filters I’ve ever dealt with are on boat motors that are used in salt water (almost every boat here is used in salt)and have been sitting for years and not ran. Those can be anywhere from...
  13. Oil filter is stuck

Dang, that’s impressive! I’ve had mine for probably 25yrs and haven’t broke it. The 3 jaw ones work well also.
  14. Oil filter is stuck

I’ve never had a filter I couldn’t remove. When all else fails this is the way. Goes on a 1/2 in drive ratchet wrench or 1/2 in drive adapter. It’s a strap wrench for a filter.
  15. $189 Transmission Flush + Filter. ....for real?

Holy smokes that’s expensive lol! I think I spent 400.00 to get the FitzStick, filter, gasket, fluid, Lubeguard and transfer pump lol.
