  1. Upper Control Arms

I would go back to the dealer and have them correct it. Let them know what the issue is and what it's a problem. Best case scenario they make it right.
  2. Noob Here - Tire Upgrade from Stock

If you are on the factory size, then you should be fine. If you went up in size, then yes you should to keep the Speedometer and Odometer accurate. Helps with keeping the service interval accurate and help avoid excessive speeding tickets.
  3. After-Market Engine & Trans Temp Gauges

When I had my Ranger, I used the My Touch Calibrator as a gauge set after tuning the truck. I got Engine Coolant with Cylinder Head Temp along with Transmission Temp. I had a few other things as well. Now with my 2012 Frontier(different vehicle, I know) I use a Scan Gauge 2. With it I monitor...
  4. Old Man EMU BP-51 Info

Final update on my end with the BP-51'S! After playing around with the adjustments a little more, I have found them to be just right when set to 5 on Compression and Rebound on my vehicle. I do still feel bumps here and there, bit it's just right. For those that deal with certain concrete paved...
  5. Noob Here - Tire Upgrade from Stock

How many miles are on the truck? Chances are there's most likely somewhere on the suspension where things could be off just by a little bit.
  6. Noob Here - Tire Upgrade from Stock

Depends on where everything is on the measurements. Chances are it will need an alignment regardless especially with a lift. I would do it anyway
  7. Belt Tensioner SNAPPED OFF

For that reason I would take the factory part
  8. When you learn something a bit new

Well I'm sure others may have looked at me a bit different before, but I learned a bit with LT Tires vs P Tires. To specify it's with the Required Tire Pressure when changing to an LT Tire from a P Tire. Now I know what most are going to say. "Do the chalk test!". Well as much of a good test...
  9. Portable vs. Fixed Air Compressors: Which Side Are You On?

For me I prefer a hard mount if mounted to the vehicle. Yes portable has its place, but I prefer what I prefer. That said I'm going to ask the important question. Where is your twin compressor made? Please share as it is important. BTW the Classic ARB Compressors are made in Australia and are...
  10. Noob Here - Tire Upgrade from Stock

If you have the chance, I would take a peak at the tires in person first. Specifically I want you to look at the sipes in the tire. If they are not deep, look at a different tire. I know in LA you will get rain. It may not be every day, but when it happens you are going to want sipes in the...
  11. Noob Here - Tire Upgrade from Stock

No experience with it, but looking at it on tire rack, it's just a road tire being called an All-Terrain. Traction, Temperature and Wear Ratings are decent at least. If you are sticking to the pavement, it should be fine along with basic dirt roads. If you want to hit the trails, but dont want...
  12. Aftermarket E-locker install vs axle e-locker swap

Unfortunately the spline count is very different. Also Ford was very kind to weld the ring gear to the diff
  13. CB radio install

These days not as many people are using CB Radios for various reasons. Whether that is a good thing or bad thing all depends on the situation I guess. Yes you can get some useful traffic information on the road when traveling and that's if individuals are communicating it. On the other side of...
  14. Anyone try this pan from amazon?

Besides the fact that it is metal and has a drain plug, I don't see the advantage. I would rather go with the PPE pan that has the cooling fins to help assist with fluid temperature being more stable
  15. Wastegate upgrade on stock turbo

If your goal is to make the world's fastest Ranger, then you need to step back and rethink how you're going to do it. Also if money is an object right now, you might as well stop.
  16. Wastegate upgrade on stock turbo

The waste gate on the Ranger is controlled by the ECM and has no Vacuum to it. Besides tuning, there really is no upgrade for it. Also you need to choose to have either the Ford Tune or the POS piggyback liar for performance tuning. Combining the two is a great recipe for disaster.
  17. Rant: Cooling systems weakest link - Mech Fan

I also want to add that for my 2012 Frontier as a reference, I not only went back to the OEM Radiator, but also replaced my OEM External Transmission Cooler with an Aftermarket Cooler. Doing such has so far improved the cooling efficiency over the CSF Aluminum I had and the Factory External...
  18. Rant: Cooling systems weakest link - Mech Fan

I would have to see the numbers before and after. Don't get me wrong, even I saw how the Ranger did when I had mine and it was good for the most part, but the one thing I saw that needed improvement was the Transmission Cooler as the Transmission would get real hot under light OffRoad use. I...
  19. Rant: Cooling systems weakest link - Mech Fan

So I just got some basic measurements. The Factory Radiator is a 1 row at 28 mm(1.1 inches). The Mishimoto is a 2 row with a total thickness of 48 mm(1.89 inches). With the other information provided by Mishimoto I have the following. The core thickness is roughly 71% more than Factory(Mishimoto...
  20. Rant: Cooling systems weakest link - Mech Fan

For what it's worth get ahold of Mishimoto and find out the size of the tubes in the radiator. That's how I found out with CSF and then I measured the OEM Radiator. It's amazing on what happens with these different bits
