I would do a few checks like making sure the Radiator is clean(as in no dirt and dust in there) and then consider replacing the Fan Clutch. Also I would consider going back to the Factory Radiator. On my 2012 Frontier that has an E Fan Conversion I had a CSF Aluminum Radiator that was a 2 row...
I don't know the entire process, but I'm sure they would be willing to workout a deal if you had one to take to them. I was already informed that the installation cost would be covered if I traded the bed in. Who knows what they would do if you let them experiment with another vehicle
I will agree that it is modeled very similar to the stuff in Australia. I believe Norweld is the closest, but I could be wrong.
Can the cost get up there? Absolutely. That said if you can plan things out right with the experience and knowledge from other setups, you can do things right and...
It's the same for my Frontier. I was taking some basic measurements yesterday and found that the 66 would be right above the hitch just like the bumper. Not bad when you think about it as I could have both a center drawer with Water Tank with the 66 inch bed. Sucks that I won't have the front...
With Chinese Parts!
Something to understand with the Beds from Set Overland is that the parts are sourced from Canada and made in Canada. If you ask me I would rather have stuff that is made in US, CA, AU or JP with parts sourced from the country it is made in vs parts coming from China...
Keep in mind that they have 3 different length options available. A 60, 66 and 72 inch variant. For most of us with Crew Cab 5 ft Beds, we would want to stick with the 60 or 66 inch beds. Those with the 6 ft Beds would stick with the 72 inch. The other cool think with these beds is you don't...
I'm not sure if this one has been discussed before or not, but out of Canada near Edmonton you guys have Set Overland as an option for a Tray Type bed for the Ranger. They can make one for my Frontier as well!
I have already spoken with the guys up there and they are cool! How cool you ask...
I can't speak for Eibach, but I can speak for Bilstein. The 6112/5160 can do a decent job for a vehicle with no load, but once you add load it will struggle to handle it in a way. To specify the valving is meant for no load and will bounce a bit excessively with enough load. Also depending on...
Well after switching to back to an OEM Radiator today with my E Fan Conversion from the CSF Radiator, I found much better air flow with the OEM Radiator. I don't have the CFM or wind tunnel data, but it is a noticeable difference
You wouldn't happen to have more information on that would you? To specify is there like some kind of article going over the tests that were done? If so it would be excellent to share here since it's good information.
Updating this a bit since I figured it would be helpful for some considering a radiator replacement.
Found an article from a Aftermarket BMW shop and they had a good writeup on what to look for on different Radiators and how bigger is not always better. It also helps support the information...
It all depends on where you live and normally operate the vehicle for what is going to work best. That said a 50/50 mixture is usually a good all round deal for most. What he might have meant was it's best to get full strength and mix it with distilled water to save a bit, but some modern...
On the shocks, there are certainly some different options. I can only speak for OEM and Old Man EMU Nitrocharger on the Ranger, but I have experience with 6112/5160, Dobinsons IMS and now Old Man EMU BP-51 on my 2012 Frontier. For the springs I personally like Old Man EMU better than Dobinsons...
Well it has been close to a year since having these installed and they have done well. If you are considering getting a set, SuperPro has a sale going on right now for 20% off store wide. Certainly worth the purchase especially if lifted
